Con la Emotional Response, l'etichetta di Stewart Anderson dei gloriosi Boyracer, funziona proprio come dice il nome: hai sempre una reazione emotiva a ogni disco che pubblicano (e ne pubblicano parecchi). Prendi questo fantastico nuovo split, in pratica un doppio EP, diviso tra Ginnels e Tangible Excitement! (punto esclamativo incluso, giusto per ribadire)...

Emotional Response have really released a stunner of a split 12″. Tangible Excitement have a great power pop sound reminiscent of Title Tracks (see “Northland Food Court”). At times they’ve got the harmonies and pop sensibilities of Teenage Fanclub.
Then there is Ginnels. I own both vinyl releases on Tenorio Cotobade (a Spanish label). This release finds Ginnels (Dublin, Ireland) a little louder and better produced. They can sound like Euros Childs and then Salad Boys (listen to “My Eyes! My Ears!”). It doesn’t hurt that Paddy Hanna and Bobby Aherne are known collaborators.
Emotional Response have better prices at their website. And it looks like they have some early Ginnels stuff released on CD.
