Tangleburr x Firestar

I also started designing the kits but they're only sketches without color

Sparrowpaw would be the "Squirrelpaw" of Brighter Fires, annoying and bickering with Tawny (whatever Firestar would name her, I think he'd name her Tawnybloom or Tawnycloud). I like to think that Leafpool was named after Spottedleaf so I kept it, except that Leafpaw would be a tom like Sparrowpaw. Badgerblaze isn't anyone from Canon, I just liked the idea of Firestar and Tangleburr having more than 2 kits, and also Badgerblaze is a molly/she-cat

May I request a Tangleburr design? I just stumbled across your account and I love how you give all the cats’ designs so much thought!

Tangleburr of ShadowClan

I honestly can see why you love her so much, she's really cool. She was one of the few cats to leave ShadowClan alongside Brokenstar, despite bullying him back when they were kittens. She started looking up to him by the time they became apprentices, and later was loyal enough to him to follow him into exile. She later joins Tigerclaw and his group of rogues, eventually rejoining ShadowClan with him as a leader.

Even when she was away from her clanmates, she was still worried about them, wanting to help them in their struggles, despite Tigerclaw's brief dissaprovement. She honestly seemed to have been loyal to him out of fear, not because she genuinely agreed with all of his ideals. That's why I disagree with Vicky's statement that Tangleburr went to the Dark Forest after her death - she didn't deserve it. She followed two evil leaders, yes, but it was literally what the warrior code told her to do at the time - following her leader without question. And it's not like she ever did anything truly evil. She attacked ThunderClan, sure, but so did everyone else in the first arc at one point or another. She was loyal to her clanmates despite being away from them, even when her own brother, Deerfoot, was openly hostile and rejecting towards her. I really don't think she was a bad cat.

Also, I'm pretty sure she actually had a pretty tough childhood. Her mother, Lizardstripe, was very open about not wanting kittens at all. She was a bit nicer to those that were her own, but she wasn't exactly a loving mother either way. We never see their father, Mudclaw, really interacting with them either. Brokenkit at least had the support of Raggedstar and Yellowfang - Tanglekit probably had nobody but her siblings. And yeah, she bullied Brokenkit, but it could have been her attempt at pleasing her mother, who openly despised the little guy. Not that it makes it any better, of course, bullying is still bad, no matter the reason.

I saw someone shipping her with Rowanberry, and I actually think it's cute. They are seen interacting a few times, with Tangleburr even being excited to see Rowanberry specifically when she returns to ShadowClan. And Rowanberry's mate is dead by this point, so they're free to get married, if I do say so myself.

In design, she mostly resembles her dad. She's buff and scruffy like him, she has his colors and his eyes. She got the ear tufts and white belly from Lizardstripe, along with the light front legs. The dark brown back legs are something she got from Mudclaw as well.
