A friend on an OFMD server was talking about Tango Maureen the other day. I read this as Mango Tureen (for those who haven't seen the show, there's a line where Stede says "Don't debase yourself for a man who hasn't a single tureen on board" which has become an in-joke catty insult), and that refused to let me go. Considering how many toh fans are also theater kids, I’m surprised that I’ve never seen a Tango Maureen joke about the “Perfect prissy Lilith cheated” line in Covention. Wasted opportunity imo.

i did a cover of “tango maureen” from rent with clark mantilla from clark on stage! i really enjoyed singing this one, the harmony bits are my favorite parts.
