Hey Leek! I've been ITCHING to draw your Vee since I saw them, so I finally did it! I don't know much about Cassette Beasts other than the fact that it's like Pokemon, but I like your AU! -Bonus Spamton with them too..? His fatass is taking up almost the whole screen omfg /silly

holy shit this was really cool to see when doing my regular Tumblr check in. really love how Vee looks in your style (your style is like a flavour of cartoony eye candy and I'm all here for it), and drawing her next to Spamton is really cool. wonder what they'd yap about together...

What Deltarune au's have you been following recently? (I'm totally not trying to find more to draw fanart of)

gosh there are a LOT I've been following. But, for the sanity of everyone, I'll just pick a few that are my particular favourites rn (+ will link the creator's page) that I also have done or plan to do fanart for. I'm gonna avoid mentioning those very popular ones I follow as everyone and their cat would know of the AUs due to how much fanart they get. I'm also gonna do a fair bit of yapping too, so wall of text ahead teehee!!!

First, I gotta point you towards 2 of my all time fave AUs as of right now: WereNeo by tiernablue (both the base and UT variant) and TeleViolence by emperoryumemomo. Both are so very cool in my eyes, and have even inspired me in an artistic way where I've made some of my most favourite pieces as of recent. I def wanna make more fanart for em down the line and share it with y'all here >:3

As for other AUs I'd love to reccommend, I have the following:

Delta's Eve by enderparty101 - Halloween flavoured Deltarune. Though there's mainly Spamton and Tenna content, there are aspects of the AU are very neat. Especially the character designs that have been shared. Really love how inspirations have been blended to create the designs, and the style is very charming. It's even an AU that has sort of influenced some of my own design choices for AU things (especially the curved tusk teeth Tenna has in certain scenarios, as weird as that sounds)

This one swap kinda AU by grayscalem - It doesn't have a name as of sending this, but holy fuck there is so much for it. The AU is like a swap AU (like for example, Spamton, Tenna, and Jevil are this AUs fun gang equivalent), but it's also so much more. So many elements to the plot and the approach to the chapters is really cool. I've been meaning to make fanart for it because the designs and plot elements is really cool. One day I may do such if the stars align teehee.

Hi Fi Rush Spamtenna by zin3b0 - Oh MAN I've been glued to my screen in excitement with this AU. Spamton and Tenna got that Hi Fi Rush lick of paint, and the art n such shared for it is very neat thus far. The pair's designs also look really neat. Spamton is clearly based on Chai with his design, but OP made it work in a neat way. Meanwhile, Tenna has design elements inspired by Rekka and Mimosa from that game. Overall a very cool view, and this AU scratches two itches in my brain (Deltarune and Hi Fi Rush) in a really neat way. Another AU I have in mind to make some eventual fanart for myself

Well you see anon, I am very normal about Deltarune. To the point I run around and interact with a shitload of posts per day (it's worse with the AUs, I check a few of the tags like hourly or whatnot)

I always giggle when someone is like "motherfucker I see you EVERYWHERE-"

Would DeltaRoad Tenna be scared of anime? What's his opinion on anime and "owo" (said outloud)

If he ever encountered an anime character hypothetically-- would bro cringe?

I don't think he'd be scared of it overall (Anime is amongst the countless things that make up entertainment, and why would you be afraid of a part of what you embody as an entity), but there would probably be some elements of it that can get a reaction from him. Such as if it hits too close to home in an uncomfortable way. So he probably has an opinion that leans more towards intrigue and joy than anything else (he is a very curious bug if Imma be fully honest).

As for someone going "owo", Tenna wouldn't have much of a reaction. Maybe a subtle movement of his antennae and a small head tilt. Nothing too grand in the way of a reaction. If he met an anime character though, he probably wouldn't cringe. But instead treat them in a similar way he would to any visitor of his domain: With a warm smile and a joyous show host vibe. Though you could get a different reaction depending on what anime character you threw at him (e.g. you could get him to act more tense (he'd try to hide it, but his body language and antennae bulbs would betray him) if you found someone that reminded him too much of Epiardo; the pair do not have the best dynamic afterall). Idk any specific anime character I could mention as an example of such since I don't really watch it...

How would your Tenna react with other Tennas?

i've got a handful of Tennas tehee. Though I do have an idea on how some of them would react.

ESPECIALLY my main son Tennaryox (or DeltaRoads Tenna as I would say prior to the name drop). He's very intrigued by the weird, and is especially attracted to learning more about Tennas with peculiar quirks (whether it's because of some monstrous qualities they have or the situation being so out there they seem like a high contrast compared to other Tennas). It's kinda why I personally see him as being besties with another one of my Tennas (Sapphire, aka the spider one lol). Though he is always up for interacting regardless. He's like a curious puppy when it comes to meeting new Tennas. But in general, I like to think the DeltaRoads Archangels are naturally attracted to the weird because of their existence. Tennaryox is just the most notable since he is more likely to be seen outside of New Wirral via dimension hopping stuff they can do.

As for the other Tennas I got, I have a few words on em (putting it under the cut cause this post is gonna get fairly long I think)

Sapphire and Arc would approach with curiosity too. Though Sapphire's would be moreso the kind a predator would have when stalking prey (but without any ill will, for the most part) and Arc is just excited to learn more about other places beyond the arcade. Sapphire would probably be more calculating and careful with his words when with other Tennas, whilst Arc just says stuff because homie has no filter and is a bit of a dumbass. Similar reactions separate approaches y'know.

Adtonio (AddiTenna) would be estatic. Like "holy shit I'm related to other CRTs across other timelines??? Fuck yeah." Dude is in deep denial about being an Addison woop, so seeing the TV Tennas makes that bit of him spark with joy. Though he would be hesitant around any other Addison Tennas if they crossed paths. Hell, even swap Spamtons that still look like his Addison self will get the side eye. Just, do not let AddiTenna near any Addison for everyone's sake... he'd probably throw a fit if left for too long.

Antonio (SPM-1997) would be rightfully confused. Though would also have so many questions to try and then share about the existence of alternate worlds on his lil podcast thingy. Bro is just a human, wouldn't you also have a similar reaction if you learned you are inhuman in other worlds?

Lastly for this yap is that swap Tenna I got (I like to call him Umbra because of the AU name). He would try to get whatever he can from other Tennas to reignite that shining spark he lost oh so long ago. tryna play it off cool before going a bit manic and with a plan held together with tape and a few strands of wet pasta. but afterwards he would just try to get some sort of connection going.

ok I've been looking through your UmbraSwap AU and i'm going insane rn!!! Do you think you'll expand the swaps to other characters or just stick with a Spamtenna swap? Also can we see some more of UmbraSwap!Spam pwease? :> (/silly)

heeh, hello! you've blown up my notifs cause of the AU and then some, which I'm happy to see

I have actually been pondering the idea of expanding Umbraswap to be more than a Spamtenna AU. especially with doing more shadow crystal boss swaps to sorta have the Umbra aspect of the AU name in tact (cause it was a fanciful way of me going "oh yeah, these two swapped shadows, thus the other gets burdened with the shadow crystal at some point in the journey and their relationships with the others changes"). The only idea I'd have for this in terms of who swaps with who rn is Jevil and Seam cause like, I also want it to feel like the swaps are between characters who share some background in a way? Gerson is gonna be the hardest to do I think... hence why I'm a lil hesitant with doing this. Roaring Knight is also gonna be a lil tough, but I'm thinking maybe it swaps with ERAM or I hold off a bit to see what else we learn about it to see who I could swap it with. Maybe there could be a lightner swap done with this too (I got an idea for whom though idk if i wanna share incase I don't go ahead with it)

And I do plan to make more posts for Swap Spam at some point. I swear he hasn't been forgotten (and he's quite developed too in my opinion), it's just I've been finding things that have more easily motivated me to do Tenna related posts 💥I think the latest thing I've posted regarding swap Spam was that AO3 fic post of mine... Hoping to get atleast a coloured ref of the guy done at some point + have a nice lil info dump to boot with it

It's my Plueysona Cerul doing the one sunglasses meme pose shown below (idk who the artist is sadly, so can't give them credit here ough)

Though, Cerul is holding the Dealmakers instead cause I thought it would be cool; especially cause of the extra detail idea of it staring too (I like the idea of Spamton being able to peep through them, so I worked with that thought for the shitpost that is my pfp)
