This one I took while having dinner at a well-known Asian restaurant in New York city. This amazing sculpture is right in the middle of the place. • The other day I was in a Portuguese restaurant in Hamburg with a German friend and we noticed that the three people next to us (an elderly couple and a young lady) were speaking Swiss German. Although they have a very cute accent I am unable to understand a single word of the dialect, but I was totally surprised to notice that the elderly couple were speaking with the waitresses in Portuguese! By the end of our meal, which coincided with theirs, I saw that they ordered a "pudim de leite condensado" a very well known dessert, which was the object of one of my posts here some months ago. When it was served to their table I tried to check if it looked like the one my mom makes so well... I must have stared so much that my friend touched my arm and I realised that the three Swiss were looking at me almost uncomfortably. "I am so sorry, it is just that my mom makes them very well" I said in High German. They laughed. Then I had to ask "How come you can speak Portuguese so well?", they responded that many years ago they were in Brazil on a voluntary mission for two weeks and just fell in love with the country and the people. We spent one more hour just listening to their amazing stories while traveling all over my country. I realized I barely know Brazil. It was also good to see that there are foreigners who actually know that, irrespective of discussions about sovereignty or politics, most of us Brazilians, are no forest burners and we despise this type of environmental crime. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #travel . . . . . . . . . #travelphotography #travelblogger #travelling #travelgram #viaje #instatravel #stories #vacation #wanderlust #tourism #tourist #trip #traveling #traveler #storytelling #storyteller #writer #buddha #taonyc #newyork (at Manhattan, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/B1wTvLVInuo/?igshid=1k1bq4jxctp35
