I'm sick and have been browsing the gossip blogs and boy is there a lot of Miles hate spattered throughout over the years. It's not as extreme as the hate for some of Alex's gfs but it's always there via a random potshot or casually contemptuous phrase.

Anyway, after reading yet another lukewarm take saying Miles is only hanging on to Alex for the fame* (🙄), I've been inspired to share some of my collection of Alex being crazy for Miles and letting Miles take the lead. IMO, we know Alex is a control freak, so any time he lets (trusts) someone else make decisions for him is a pretty big deal. Hope you enjoy this compilation as much as I did putting it together!

Just the sheer existence of the EYCTE tour and the fact that Alex let Miles take charge of both of their wardrobes (which they confirmed in an interview), and likely the major part of stage management (Alex didn't wear his in-ears and you can see in some of the shows that Miles is communicating with people on stage).

There's an interview where Alex is asked about an outfit he wore during a specific show, and he can't remember but Miles immediately jumps in and answers the question with the details!

Got the above gif from this post but I've seen even more egregious examples on my dash. I think the SIAS performances are by far the most times we've caught Miles grabbing Alex's ass. These are also the gigs where Miles came out wearing Alex's leather jacket, multiple times. And he always came out with such swagger.. like yeah Alex is the rockstar but we know who he belongs to ;)

I also think that the fact that Miles was the opening act for all of their Ireland shows and the fact that he was the only one during The Car tour that simply strutted up to Alex and made him smile easily is a telling sign of how much power he has in their dynamic. Even in the above moment, Miles made Alex come to him rather than rushing over to Alex. I can't find the gif now but if you watch the clip you can see it clearly.

Not so sure this one counts but I'm including it for fun because it's fun to see Alex going absolutely wild for Miles. Like my man just jumped him, slammed his hips into him and started kissing all down his face.

Sooo I realized this could go on forever so I'mma cut it off here. If anyone wants to add more examples feel free to keep the Kane train going!

*It's not the point of this post but I want to also add that Miles does not need to hang on to Alex for fame. He is successful in his own right and hustles like mad. I think the fact that The Monkeys' very successful manager, keeps Miles on his intentionally small roster of artists speaks for itself.

Sometimes I think about 2008 milex and that first album, how fluffy they both were, the influences that caused them to make taotu, the interviews where they can't stop looking at each other 😭

There's sooooo many underrated songs on it and they deserve so much more love from the fandom, eycte will always be my fav project they've worked on but the whole atmosphere and aesthetic taotu captures you in when you listen to the album in order is gorgeous
