Not much in the realm of classes, but I did meet a fellow tap dancer at a social a couple of weeks ago. I'm excited to dance with him in the future!

Have you ever tapped in heels? If you have, what was that like? I imagine it's much more difficult

Never for a class or dance, but sometimes I'll do a few tap moves if I'm in particularly clicky heels.

Thoughts about tap as ASMR?

Maybe when done on a softer surface like marley? I've never heard tap asmr before. depending on the acoustics in a space, I've gotten overstimulated by tap sounds before. tbf that was with like... 10 people all in synch.

Since you are an artist, would you ever make art of your characters tap dancing?

Oh, definitely! I'm working on an animation for my splatoon characters doing some lindy, but I'm sure I'll get around to drawing one of my characters tapping at some point.

I've got a few projects on the go right now, so I'll put that on my list for later.

If you could have your dream tap shoes, what would you get? Imagine you can customize them fully.

If you have multiple ideas, go for it

I've honestly never thought about this. I've only had one teacher with custom shoes. They were white and pink with a little heart on the heel and I went "ooh! pretty!" and moved on.

If I had to choose I'd want some shade of blue on them, maybe a navy or a dark turquoise. I'd want the leather to be matte. Oh, and soft soles. Other than that I'm not sure. Maybe a small decal of some sort.

Hmmmmmm the hard questions. I did a solo to P!nk's Never Gonna Not Dance Again for a last performance thing. That was fun. Thunderstruck is also good. Anything with a good drum beat around 100 bpm (you can go about 10 in either direction and still be good) is really good for tapping.

Choosing a good song to choreograph to is an art. Pro tip: beat saber does the same thing
