In the past year, I have been proud to say that I have co-founded a tap dance company in Nashville. We are the Nashville Tap Experiment, and we are an eight-member ensemble made up of tap dancers from all different walks of life and different experience and skill levels. On Saturday, three of us finally got the opportunity to show what the Experiment can do together, and we performed as a group for the first time at the annual Southern Festival of Books! It was a defining moment for us! It was a proud moment for me personally, because I put so much into making this company work, and while it hasn’t been easy at times, we finally got an idea of what we are capable of and how much we can accomplish together. We also got an idea of how much more growing we have to do, as a group and as individuals. I hope you enjoy this video of our performance!
