OK, just listened to the new TAP episode and it's THEORY TIME MY GUYS.
* Mebd means Maeve who is considered to be an Irish warrior who has been deified by Irish mythology, from what I've been able to gather.
* She was a leader, a rebel, a revolutionary known for her countless lovers. The first girl boss if you will.
* her animal symbol was golden birds and gold in general.
* Certain species of penguins can be golden on the beak, head, neck and slightly on the belly, explaining why it screamed Mebd Bird. A bird from Maeve.
*my theory is that this was a disappearance they made and that for some reason Arthur has issues with Maeve, or is afraid of her, or whatever. After all, she was famous for violence and gore, and we know Arthur isn't very supportive of that. So if her birds are around maybe SHE IS around and—
* Maeve's death was described as:

Maeve re-invaded Ulster in later years, taking her revenge on Cuchulainn for the devastation he had wreaked on her army and eventually slaying him.
Maeve was ultimately killed herself by Furbaide, the son of the sister she murdered ,the baby who had been removed from her mother's dead body. She was felled by a sling shot bearing a hardened piece of cheese
I mean. If that isn't a CLASSIC disappearance. I don't know what it must be.
