something that bothers me is that...the tapeworm post isnt that bad? its not nearly as bad as the fandom makes it out to be. and a lot of the fandom refuses to let newer fans in on the joke, and they say it’s for the newer fan’s sake, but i think it’s really because the people that do this like feeling like they’re in on a joke other people aren’t, or because they feel its a badge of honor to have been in the fandom when the post was made. it’s purely about gatekeeping. which is really disheartening and makes me disappointed in the people who do it. just...please be nice to your fellow fans, no one likes being left out or missing the joke, i promise if you do this you’re just making people feel bad
