We've all received news of some of the parties running in the MCYTBLR Presidential Election, and I have taken it upon myself to gather four interesting parties and their policies in order for you to make the most informed decision when voting in this year's election.

CATBOY 2021

Catboy 2021 has found a distinct goal for their presidency. They promise to recreate what they call the old mcytblr, which could be very good for the older mcytblr blogs. Their policies are bound to be controversial with the DSMP community, promising less DSMP and abolishing DNF, but they'll be fine, I'm sure. Policies also include reblogging art, more fun shark facts, the just roll with it riptide, establishing the Slimecicle cinematic universe, and supporting small businesses.

With @sp4rk-p1ug and @tidespider running under the Catboy 2021 name, they could be the faces of change in the mcytblr community.

Whorance 2021

There's some pleasant surprises to come from Whorance 2021. Running from the Aphmau side of the mcytblr community, we could expect to see more Aphmau content on our dashes if they're to win the presidency. With @whorance running as president, and @heartsoulanxiety as VP, this could be very promising for not just the Aphmau fandom, but to the mcytblr fandom as a whole.

Tapeworm 2021

With a fairly large party such as this one, one can't help but wonder what could happen.

As a reporter, I shouldn't really be sharing my opinion, but I personally believe that it could be very interesting if Tapeworm 2021 won the presidency, just based on sheer numbers alone.

With @bones-sprouts and @lyraissleepy running for the shared title of president, @ifoundthegayjuice and @sajdd as their vice presidents, and @daylghtmellohi , @miss-match01 , @cloudys-oasis , @spider-shoes , @its-elvie-innit , and many more helping them with their duties, Inniters international could very well be a fixture in our fandom's history.

Their policies are also worth noting. They promise to instate a Tapeworm Church, to give Ghostbur a gun and to make sure that he's treated right, to consider liking art without reblogging a criminal offense and to punish it as such, to consider every DSMP character trans, and to be very welcoming to the Twitter refugees by giving them each a small frog. Along with that, they will also execute c!dream for hurting "The Boy" [c!tommyinnit], considering all MCYTs a basic blogger's right, and daylightmellohi personally promises to hunt down technoblade if he doesn't post the 4/4 video and edit the video themselves.

Also worth noting, "whores" is written throughout their list of policies, which could be interpreted in many ways. and sajdd doesn't like coffee.

Malus2021

Malus2021 seems to be another company-run campaign, much like Tapeworm 2021. Except Malus2021 seems to have a much bigger focus on the corporate theme. And I was surprised to find that they didn't have specific policies. Instead, they shared the three beliefs of their company: "CLOUT, MONEY, and BITCHES." They also made some lofty promises but...they are certainly tempting. ahem, my apologies, the formatting can be so difficult here, haha. I do highly suggest that you see them yourself though. Strangely, I don't think I can do them justice here.

Their presidential candidate is Genesis Frog, @aroaceacacia , VP is Dawnza Dawnpath, @netherite-sword , dogcatcher is Lime Limelocked, @limelocked , marketing director is Bina Biinaberry, @biinaberry enforcer is Dr Alpaca Funeral, @im-a-squidkid and their beloved coworker is Toffee, @toffee-rambles

EXCLUSIVE: Special Interview with Tapeworm2021's Spokesperson, @popcornsalty !

Miro: Could you introduce yourself and your party?

Poke: Hi! I am Poke Popcornsalty, the spokesperson of Tapeworm2021. I use she/her pronouns.

Miro: Awesome! So Ms. Poke, could you tell me a bit about this lorekeeper gala you attended recently? I heard some interesting things happened there.

Poke: Well it- it was certainly one heck of an experience. There was a cursed knife and gem, somehow, which traumatized [NAME REDACTED FOR SAFETY]! And there was an attempted murder, and they killed this merperson! The cookies were good, though. Still, they will be paying for my therapy. Bea of the Tapeworm party attended and saw these things as well, and it was horrifying!

Miro: Oh no, really? Do you have any suspicions as to who attempted the murder?

Poke: I saw it- it was the merperson they killed. Their security is..... efficient, I will say. In the sense they are efficient in not getting much info out of the attempted murderer! To clarify. To the best of my knowledge, they killed the merperson for attempted murder. And I report this with no exaggeration- when i attempted to tell some lorekeepers about the odd knife and gem, (and they saw the knife fly through the air! Out of the room!) they simply shrugged their shoulders and said this was normal. Is this meant to be the highest voted for party-? With 37%-? I digress. On to the next question, please.

Miro: Oh- um, alright! What is tapeworm2021's policy on the larger mcyt community (hermitcraft, 3rd/last life, etc) and will you take measures to represent them when they are largely overshadowed by the dsmp side?

Poke: Tapeworm2021 wants to help these communities- such as implementing education on tagging. And when we take power, we will ensure fans from smaller smps will have representatives.

Miro: Lovely! I'm sure they will be glad to hear that. I must know- are there any dsmp characters Tapeworm2021 strictly does not endorse? I'm aware this is a controversial subject, but I'm afraid it must be touched upon.

Poke: Well-well now. I cannot speak for other members of the party, but I, as an individual, personally believe it is wrong to condemn anyone for their opinions on dream smp characters. I make my friends based on how nice they are to everyone, not which fictional character they call their meow meow(which is not to say that fiction doesn't affect reality, but that's a different can of worms). I- I know people who are "c!dream/c!techno/c!phil apologists" who have been far more polite and understanding to me then some inniters, in fact, here on tumblr. So it is my opinion that I only do not endorse c!schlatt chuckles light-heartedly But those are just my feelings on the matter. And as a party, rather then disliking any particular character, we fully endorse c!tommy! I hope this answers your question, I can elaborate more on details, if you so wish.
