The Amazing Race:Season 18′s Pit Stop Greeters.
Jen and Kisha
I love that one of their Florida related challenges is setting up a trailer in a trailer park
I love that almost half of the season 18 cast was from season 14 but aside from Jen and Kisha they were literally all eliminated first
Unfinished Business is such a great concept for an all star season, and TAR18 really delivers with it. I think the cast overall was a good group, although there are a few changes I would’ve made. First of all, the lack of representation from TAR13...why is that season so hated? They could’ve had Toni & Dallas the OBVIOUS unfinished business team who fits the theme perfectly, even Ken & Tina, or evening Terence & Sarah. They could have and SHOULD have replaced a few of the TAR14 teams cause we didn’t need so many from that one season. Other than Kisha & Jen and Margie & Luke the other three didn’t fully fit the theme for me. I would have replaced them with Toni & Dallas, Chad & Stephanie, and Azaria & Hendekea (EXTREMELY robbed and fits the theme). Thankfully four of the five TAR14 teams were the first four boots while the fifth ends up winning. Amanda & Kris, why on earth did anyone in production think this was a good pick for an all star season? They were out so early, and were extremely irrelevant on their season, plus didn’t really have unfinished business..they just got U-Turned so what? Mel & Mike, I’m not sure why they returned if Mel’s health wasn’t up to par. It just feels like they wasted a spot, similar to Kevin & Drew on TAR11 All Stars. Jaime & Cara I liked on their original season, but this season they were sort of...idk. They just didn’t give me the same spark. The fact that they got to the U-Turn at the same time as Kent & Vyxsin and got U-Turned right in their face ctfuuuu the goths didn’t give a fuck omg! Margie & Luke, honestly I felt so bad for Luke at the tea tasting roadblock, I wish they had gone further cause even with this season I thought they were pretty okay and rootable. You can see Margie starting to coddle him a bit too much, like she does a lot on TAR24, but she wasn’t too trifling here yet. Ron once again proved he learned nothing his first time and returned with the same nasty attitude, I just felt so awful for Christina cause she really has what it takes to win but it’s her dad that’s the problem. I wish she had been teamed up with Azaria, they probably could have won. Not going to spend too long on Jet & Cord. I still don’t like them, thought they were just as trifling as the first time, and their homophobic asses got what they deserved with that U-Turn. The spirit of Jordan made sure they lost again oop! Kynt Kent & Vyxsin, made even more mistakes this time, were such a hot mess, but I still loved them! I can’t believe they apparently lost all their popularity with this season just cause they fought a bit here and there. I wish Kent would have been more supportive with Vyxsin but overall I don’t think they were as awful as some people think, a lot of the stuff they did was so funny like when they were dancing with the children for misinterpreting the clue. I also honestly don’t think Vyxsin stole Flight Time’s chocolate gnome, they could’ve easily gotten messed up. Zev & Justin redeemed themselves SO hard. Honestly thought they could’ve won, but that dance roadblock really screwed Zev over :/ I love them a lot, they work so well together. Gary & Mallory are iconic, one of the best parent/child teams ever tbh, and could’ve won had they not had travel problems. Flight Time & Big Easy once again were fun to watch, and raced so well this time. It was a toss up between them and Gary & Mallory to win for me once Zev & Justin were eliminated. Now onto the winners, Kisha & Jen! First of all they broke so many records with this season, first sisters team to win, first African American sisters team to win, first all female team to win without any leg wins, and Kisha being the first LGBT contestant to win...I mean c’mon! Their edit this season was bland compared to their first appearance, but really TAR does a poor job giving their winners a proper edit, and I was genuinely shocked they won due to this. But they worked well together, I’m glad they fixed their mistakes from the first time, and they were so well deserving of the win. Overall, a pretty great season with a great concept!
