Tadaaa, my Ninjago OC!
His name is Tar (Taranos) and i have no idea what im going to do with him. He just exists now, a little blorbo in my brain to insert into "what if?" scenarios or whatever. I finished him just in time for artfight :D
Hes an oni, but my own realistic interpretation of one from Ninjago. I like to think theyre not as threatening as they seem. Theyre floofy and fully covered in fur, they have paws (obviously, its a must have) and im pretty sure i accidentally made them something cat-adjacent, which works imo the oni do feel pretty cat-coded.
Hes my first shapeshifting character (yeah!) and he LOVES to take the form of a dog, he will take every chance to be a dog when he has to go somewhere where he needs to be in disguise. He can change his eye color, but he likes how spooky it makes him as a dog and he thinks its funny.
He lives in the post-merge world and i like to think he would show up sometime in season 3, and eventually trains to become a (purple (one of my favourite colors)) ninja. He got lost during the merge and yeeted into Ninjago when it happened, so for the past few years hes been hanging around civilization for the first time and he is thoroughly fascinated by all the high tech inventions, cooking, human/other species behaviors, fashion, etc.
Tars name also loosely means "thunder and storms" and i think its funny how he comes from the season with a dragon named Thunderfang. And its the thunder season, literally, the remix of We Rise is called "Thunder Remix" for ss3!
ALSO, i made up an Element and he is the Elemental Master of Reality. Which i define as just the ability to manipulate reality however he wants, and its very ambiguous how it works and absolutely open to your interpretation (which is the whole point hehe, its however you perceive reality >:)).
But what i think his element is in a nutshell: changing what you perceive as real, jumping through paintings like theyre a doorway to another room, folding space itself to travel to a nearby location thats within eyesight, bringing pictures to life and making your dreams and nightmares a reality. Some real Dr Strange type stuff.
