Summary: During a routine patrol, Dick’s glove malfunctions and he almost falls to his death. Bruce redesigns them. Problem solved, right? Only Dick is refusing to take the new pair. AKA Trauma is irrational, but love endures all.

My opinion: This is more self-indulgent than anything. As I mentioned before, I love fanfics that deal with the Tarantula situation and the aftermath.

I also love Bruce trying to be a good father. I will never recommend a fic where Bruce is a shitty dad that stays abusive, that is not my cup. He kinda sucks, but he is trying in this fic and that's what matters. There are also really sweet moments with the other batkids.

I highly recommend giving it a try, especially if you are looking for a fic on the longer side

Summary: When running doesn't work and working doesn't work, home is the place you go where they have to take you in. Dick's home has never been Gotham; it's always been the people.

My opinion: so, I’m a sucker for fics that talk about what happened with tarantula. Since dc won’t address it I need the fics to give me the comfort. This is heavy and intense. It is sad, but there is a happy, or at least hopeful, ending. Dick has to learn how to receive the help he needs but he gets there. If you want something long, with hurt/comfort this one is for you!

Summary: A knock. Someone is at the compartment door.

Tante Sofia. She takes Dick back to her wagon with her, shuts the curtains so he cannot see the red-and-blue flash of the police lights, cranks up her old phonograph with some Django Reinhardt records so he cannot hear the sirens.

She even offers him the Egyptian hookah pipe. He refuses, then hesitates, and takes it from her. The vapor tickles the back of his throat. He coughs tremendously.

While his eyes water and his lungs draw in frantic gulps of air, Tante takes the pipe back and asks him,

“Why are you not crying yet, motănel?”

My opinion: Okay, I want to start by saying the rape scene is not really graphic, it’s the scene with Mirage and another scene with Tarantula. It’s has Dick/Barbara, Dick/Kori and Dick/Wally. Dick/Wally is endgame, but not really the focus. Honestly, if you feel comfortable reading it, then I highly recommend it. Now, you might not be surprised here, but I truly cried. Also, I’m a sucker for fanfics that address the rape scene between Tarantula and Dick and try to fix it. Dick finally receives the support of his family regarding this subject, Dick gets a happy ending. Hurt/comfort (my favorite) Romani Dick (also my favorite) honestly, this fic has all of the stuff I love.
