My "drum solo" from the Sharjah Biennial in the United Arab Emirates surfaced online, all the drummers in our 10 drummer group went around and did a solo for a group of young deaf men from various parts of the Middle East. They were from Palestine, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, places westerners generally hear abstract stray facts about in "the news". They took notes and afterwards we had a meeting to talk about how it made them feel. Really an amazing connective moment in my life, I'm so grateful. Such a nice gang of guys. in my solo I was going for a "thudding" theme, as you can see...
