I've always laughed at the Target memes about losing all semblance of reality when in the store, but after spending over an hour in one today buying things I didn't necessarily need really puts the meme into perspective. Target has an aura about it that makes you think you need to buy notebooks for $0.80 even though you graduated college two years ago and have no present use for them.
