Dandelions (yes, that song that gets clipped for tiktok a lot) could probably be a pretty good Tarielle song.

Drabble #38
You all have been missed so far by the reason I love Tarielle so much. (Though the ship itself played a role here) That is why I am going to throw it into your face now. Very hard. Drabble Collection on Ao3 Ship: Tarielle Buy Me a Coffee „I like you, chér. You’re cheery, which is important, you’re cheeky, which is more important and you’ve got a lovely bottom, which is all-important. The ass of a man is the piston that drives the world, and you have a good one.” Arielle’s eyes lingered on for a second, silently, before she added: “Well, it’s not quite cheeky instead this awful dry british humour, but I think we can work with this.”
Tarielle vs. Railey is still a v funny love triangle, because it IS about Tahir and which life he chooses, but he's not torn once he makes his decision. And Arielle and Robert don't fight because they want to have him, they fight because the thought of ROBERT having him drives Arielle nuts & Robert takes all her jabs VERY personally.
Tahir's in the middle and hates both of their childish games. Can't a friend of his and his lover just get ALONG.
Arielle truly is like "Listen, I want to move on, I want to confront the fact that I was in love with Tahir and missed my chance, I want to do something with my life and be happy for him as a friend. HOWEVER, how can I be happy for him as long as he is dating EUROPE'S CUNT NUMBER ONE --"
Thinking about that Paul Taylor bit about accents and how French & English people think about each other's as extremely sexy ... that explains so much about FrUK and Tarielle.
Tahir once told Arielle, slightly flustered, "I'm afraid I'm not a big romantic, Miss Halévy" and then, one night many years after, he was tipsy and put his whole heart into his feet when he danced with her to Emily and sang along with Mika's "Emily, I love you, and I know you do too" and I'm gonna walk into the fucking ocean
Monologue
Sacrifice is the oldest story. The truest story. Why else would it appear so often? If you want something, you have to give something up for it. Every day this happens, with money, with your friends. Giving of yourself, of something you value, it means more. Money really is arbitrary –each person has different values for things. But life is the most precious thing, whether it be your life, or the lives of those you love. So giving up a life in exchange for something –that’s powerful.
Humanity is strange that way. You can distance yourself from how horrible it is to take a life –you have to do it, or you go insane. The problem is that of empathy. To understand the horror, you must see the other as yourself. If you fully realize this, if you fully realize what life is, then it is very hard to take it away from someone else. I’m not going to talk about justifiable homicide or the death penalty.
It has taken thousands of years to build up civilization, and it has been for the most part a conscious decision. Civilization, ‘the art of living in cities’, is the art of living together in groups. Laws are created by the state so that its inhabitants will live in peace, or at least so that civilization will function.
"
Um, so this got to be sort of run on and off the topic of sacrifice, so I think I'll cut out the stuff after 'humanity is strange' and put that in someone else's monologue in another story.
