dinosaurs on the loose in sydney’s taronga zoo. ...and these frighteningly lifelike looking fellas are by far not the greatest attraction in the beautiful zoo-facilities of the non-profit organization “taronga”, which was founded to support wildlife conservation. gorgeous, spacious and species-appropriate enclosures and their animal inhabitants from all over the world compete for the visitor’s attention with breathtaking views over sydney. the zoo is perched on a steep slope and offers stunning vistas over sydney’s skyline, harbour and opera house. the taronga experience starts with a fun ferry ride from the city, after a few steps a cable car gets you uphill swiftly, hovering above the animal enclosures. the way down is smooth and stroller friendly. all in all this is a great day trip when visiting sydney with kids! // die dinosaurier sind los! in sydneys taronga zoo. und diese unheimlich echt wirkenden, bewegungsfaehigen roboter sind bei weitem noch nicht die groesste attraktion dieser tollen zoo-anlage der gemeinnuetzigen naturschutzgesellschaft ‘”taronga”: hier konkurrieren wunderschoene, weitlaeufig und artgerecht angelegte tiergehege und ihre tierischen bewohner aus aller welt mit fantastischen aussichten ueber sydney um die aufmerksamkeit der besucher. der zoo thront in herrlicher hanglage ueber sydney, von hier aus kann man die skyline, das opera house und die harbour bridge bewundern. schon die anreise mit der faehre ist ein erlebnis. direkt im anschluss kann mit einer seilbahn ueber den gehegen schwebend den hang hinauffahren und dann gemuetlich  - buggygerecht - ueber die breit angelegten wege wieder hinunterkurven. toll fuer einen ausflug mit kleinen kids!
