We also met these amazing friends who are all unfortunately Endangered or Critically Endangered in the wild. They are all part of captive breeding and research programs at the Zoo to try to save their species from extinction.

The Booroolong Frog, the Southern Corroboree Frog, and the Yellow-spotted Bell Frog! 🐸🐸🐸

Today we visited the brand new Amphibian & Reptile Conservation Centre (ARC) at Taronga Zoo! ARC is home to 42 species of reptiles and amphibians in six different climate zones. First we met this equally Spherical and Sticky Red-eyed Tree Frog, and these 3 Eastern Dwarf Tree Frogs who were Staring Excellently!

TARONGA ZOO SYDNEY

Diary-Youth TARONGA ZOO Sydney Autumn, Julia, mum, Warren and his friend Brenton went to Taronga Zoo for a day out. We travelled there by train, Autumn and Julia was listening to our walkmans. Warren and mum had an argument on the train. We went to the zoo and looked around, Brenton got bird droppings on the back of his jacket and mum cleaned it for him. We all had a lot of fun at the zoo although Autumn wasn’t feeling well. Autumn liked the koalas. Mum thought the best moment was when Brenton held onto her shoulders. Julia liked the souvineers and we also had lunch there. Mum liked the monkeys she likes the chimps. On the way home mum talked to us about how beautiful the clouds looked. On the way home on the train there was a man who stunk. We had McDonalds for dinner that night, that cheered Autumn up. AUTUMN WROTE: ‘I’m still not well at the moment. We are watching Perfect Match and Home and Away, see ya later!’
