Ripley was the one who defied odds. The one who got away. More than ONCE.

Still, she is no greater than those who fell before her. She is no stronger, nor better than any of them. Luck or cards played right. Similarly, she still bound by limitations of a human flesh. Soft and weak, now pressed tightly against the hard surface of the wall by strength greater to hers.

She may struggle only as much as the pinning force allows her. Gasping, cursing, before her muscles tense, head moving to the side. Mostly, she may only stare, what she believed to symbolize DEATH, in the eye.

For now, that is all she can see. The somewhat similar, haunting visage she has become too familiar with. No matter how many times it takes, it never changes that sense of threat she feels.

Flying through the galaxy is not cheap, any ship needs supplies and those cost money. Even more money when they are scarce. So, a captain on the wrong side of the law has two options: trade or steal. Bartering requires connections and goods, Eliza has both. Some people like a quick in-and-out type arrangement. Honestly she prefers that, no pretenses. But others, like the captain of passenger vessel she'd met a few months back, prefer to 'entertain' their business partners before hand.

Hence why she was dressed in the best she had, they needed those supplies. Perhaps the other captain had become interested in something more between them. But when he came to collect her, she very quickly took his hand off her waist. This was pure business to her, nothing more.

The night ended with her securing the food, fuel, and water they needed; as well as a few other special items the cook she was friends with had gifted her. Heels in hand she trudges back to the ship.

He has been kind enough to zip her up before she left, his hands gentle as always. Perhaps he would be kind enough to help her undo the possess.

"Psi, would you mind-" she doesn't even have to finish the sentence before his hands are once again on the zipper. A blush rises through her face and settles in her ears. "Thank you," she clears her throat. "And how was the ship? No issues I presume?"

Daniels' jaw felt too stiff to move, tongue stuck back on her throat. Instead, head moves slightly from side to side. A silent plead, subconscious disagreement. A' No ', without words spoken words.

Past the point of saving...? from this place? this plane of existence? from him?

Every threat and danger Daniels had encountered after waking to the sight of he new world, the synthetic, at least currently according to the words, might pose the greatest of them.

"...why..." a simple question finally leaves her lips. What might have became of Dr. Shaw. Something that became to harrow her thoughts. Dreading the possible answer. "...was she..."

Was she past the point of saving...?
