being a solas fan is fun bc there are some crimes where i'm like "he was right" and other crimes where i'm like "i literally don't care that he did that" and other crimes where i'm like "you make it so hard to love you sometimes" and the line is completely arbitrary. sometimes murder is the worst and sometimes it's tuesday.

Please, for the love of all that is good, tag your fandom posts appropriately.

You know what? Fuck it. This is for all fandom circles, but we know what's popular in the media right now. You know what this is about.

Here's a rambling list because I feel like we've just thrown fandom etiquette out the damn window.

Don't sensor your tags unless the sensor is used as the main anti/salt tag. Ex: g*re

Don't mislabel your anti ship posts or whatever in the main tag. It's fine to disagree or be critical. You are antagonizing other fans for wanting to curate their experience of something that's supposed to be a fun pastime when you do this intentionally.

Do not ship real people. DO NOT SHIP REAL PEOPLE.

Do not harass actors for the actions of their character. They are not their character. If you are pissed off at an antagonist, they have done a fantastic job.

Real-life relationships/dynamics between actors are not proof of things within a fictional narrative. Seperate actors and their lives from the fictional characters they play.

Deepfakes/A.I. Again, this goes in with the previous few points. These are real people. Write a self indulgent fanfic with your O.C like the days of old, not this shit.

You can rewrite canon if you want. No need to bend yourself into a pretzel to legitimize characters kissing within the canonical series of events.

Your headcanon does not need to be canon. You're not a piece of shit for having a headcanon. However, you will indeed be an annoying shitheel if you insist that non canon IS canon and that other fans are lesser for not agreeing with you. Same goes in reverse. Don't be a dick.

We can be critical of media and different takes on said media without being assholes to each other. It takes a bit more time then telling someone to kys and spamming emojis, but it's possible guys.

A lot of the time, antis are antis because of fans not showing courtesy to one another. We're all just playing with barbies in a virtual sandbox here.

And yes, just to be clear, there's nuances and exceptions to everything.

This is a generalized list of my thoughts and opinions. If something isn't written here, please know ADHD is a bitch and I'm not actively malicious, just a tad scatterbrained.

Apparently KCD2 is free on Steam and Xbox Series X for the next few days if anyone wants to play it but can't because $$.

If my blog the last few months is any indication I really loved playing it.

Update: it is no longer free to demo but there is a sale on both games in the series. :)
