Apple's Infuriating Software Flops
The Reminders & Tasks app in Apple's iOS 5 is another example of software that was apparently designed by people who never actually tried to use it. Featureless and inflexible, it doesn't allow you to do basic things like re-order your tasks or sort them in different ways. Another promising idea poorly executed by Apple (see also: "iTunes WiFi Sync"). Here's a clue: when you're designing software, maybe you could try actually *using* it for a little while (we call that "beta-testing")? You'll be amazed at how much better the finished product will be!
