I used to consider myself a Seeker
Until I realized there is nothing to seek
The truth is already here
And the way to its Source can not be found by actively seeking
I feel like the main lesson on the journey from mind to heart, ego to soul is learning to s u r r e n d e r
Yes there is work to do
We can (and need to) put the effort in
We need to be willing to actively embrace honesty and truthfulness with ourselves, and that can be hard work
Commitment + consistency will be required
But at some point we’ve done all we could
There is no more discipline to perform there is no action to take that would move us beyond the veil
And we are asked to surrender
To trust the unknown
To let go of all concepts, to accept that there is no maps no guides to take us any further
This is when, I’ve come to learn, all we can do is to r e l a x
To release the attachment and let go of all attempts to control the outcome
And trust the heart
Over the mind
Mind clings, mind wants to be safe
Heart knows we are safe, heart knows we are loved
For all that we are in this moment
Awakening is available in the here and now
In our breaths, in our bodies
Of course the process is unique to everyone
But more often than not, it is not something we can achieve by doing
But rather by relaxing into being
You’ll find out one day that surrendering solves problems better than you ever could.
Be willing to get out of the way and say, I give up. To allow God, Source, Most High, Infinite Creator, Spirit, Allah, Divine, whatever you want to call it, to take over.
