The seeds of Acer tataricum (Tatarian Maple, Amur maple) form an interesting winter display. This hardy, small deciduous tree has 3-lobed leaves which turn deep red in autumn and has small cream flowers that are followed by the reddish fruit called samara that turn light brown over winter.
