A little late for christmas, but better late than never.
Very random but- as someone who adores Tattletail as a game- I’m currently watching a play through of Tattletail+ and… I’m not liking it. The visual “polish” doesn’t sit right and the visual effects are too strong, makes it very hard to watch. Tattletail’s model also somehow looks less believable?? The way the mouth moves no longer looks like it could plausibly be achieved irl, meanwhile with the original it did. I don’t like being a hater but I sure hope this remaster has more to offer because this is… not my favorite so far. Tattletail is just one of those games that feels… less scary with more polished visuals. The focus was on the sound design, and that worked. This game seems to have the same sounds, but it feels more disorienting alongside the visual effects.
I’ve only seen night one so far, but.. yeah no I do think making the eggs light up was a good idea to help signify their importance, but they’re like way too big… they don’t feel like “Easter eggs” in terms of gameplay anymore, they feel like standard collectibles. I know they’re necessary for the good ending, but like… dude there’s supposed to be some challenge in noticing them.
I hate to be like “urggg I hate the reboot of a thing I liked when I was a kid” but like. This just feels really disappointing.
though maybe the fact the guy I’m watching is running to and from everywhere is skewing my experience, but damn

Plushtrap plans to get revenge on his enemies. As the first phase of his plan, he plots to get rid of Mama with a very special party.
Plushtrap and Tattletail have ruined the nightmare's New Years party, so Nightmare kidnaps Tattletail.
Now Plushtrap must beat the new Tattletail remake to free his friend!
Who was going to tell me Tattletail got a remake? That explains why "Baby Mine" was getting more hits lately...
Tattletail Plus!
It looks great with all the new textures and animations! The addition of secret minigames for more lore is also a fun bit. Too bad I'm strictly a PC gamer, and from what I've seen, it's a console game..
