tatoo planning. under cut for wips and the first draft + commentary

i really wanted to include portal and subnautica. but i could add them as fillers between the bigger pictures once the first total sleeve is made. putting the Sea Emperor there was unfeasalbe bcs it would have been a long and wrapping figure that is simply too long for my arm.

the final design includes the Voidfish from The Adventure Zone: Balance. The little boat + aberration from Dredge. A less cartoony version of the Master Sword, the basic Sychte given to the Warrior Of Light when they unlock the Reaper Job in FFXIV, and Narsil from Lord of the rings. The coelacanth is not a reference but rather a metaphor for myself, since its bearing my scars (the ones i will have, eventually). Crowning the design with a d20 on my elbow and the Outsider's sygil from Dishonored on my wrist.

I've been wanting this tattoo for a year or so now, but that post just really encapsulates the meaning behind it!

If you're unfamiliar with Zapatista history and literature, I highly suggest reading Zapatista Stories for Dreaming An-Other World by Subcomandante Marcos - there's a four-page piece called "The Story of the Lion and the Mirror", which is my favorite of them all.

The tattoo itself will be a cow's heart with nails and broken mirror shards stabbed into it, with a cougar/puma/mountain lion's head behind it, tongue out and bleeding, inside of an ornate mirror frame.

I'll post photos if/when I end up getting it!
