And the only reason why the hallway behind JoWo is green is that I needed a contrast for his suit. Grey wouldn't have done. Yes, I find it completely normal that the surroundings adapt to compliment Goethe’s presence.
That situation in the story had Friedrich go “GAWD, I gotta look awful, my hair is a mess and my shirt so worn-out” while I was just like “Friedrich, you SLUT, get dressed already, or do you want Johann to jump you like... oh, wait, you’d probably enjoy that, nvm.” If anyone ever asks what I was thinking of while drawing this, I shall say: “Collarbones. I was thinking of collarbones.”
@fanpersoningfox - I’m not sure why Goethe turned out so tan this time around...? My scanner has weird days. Let’s just say he was wandering in the Alps the weekend before. Also, shading fucking “taubenblau” by hand was hell, thank you very much, but worth it.

Liebe Vintage Freunde,
dieser schöne große Küchentisch mit gedrechselten Beinen wurde kurz vor seiner Fertigstellung “aus unserer Werkstatt heraus” verkauft.
Die Tischplatte ist abgeschliffen, in nussbaum gebeizt und klar lackiert. Das Gestell ist repariert und in einem kräftigen taubenblau lackiert. Ein aussagekräftige Farbkombination!
