A Taurus Masterpost (from a Taurus Dom.)
(Things can depend on the other signs on your birth chart, but Taurus in anything can relate to this)
Taurus’ can be either the best thing ever or the thing your want to rot in hell (it’s one or the either really). Generally, we’re only rude if you’re rude to us, though at times we just burst and explode, our anger flying onto anyone and everyone. And yes, we are stubborn, but really mostly about the things in life that are unfair, not all the time, but when we are we go all out - example, whenever i have an opinion i’m damn ready to lay out a speech and civilly debate about such subject. I make jokes all the time about being stubborn. Sometimes you have to.
Oh god the sleep. When we sleep dreamlessly, it’s both calming but shocking. I know many others who have vibrant dreams and as soon as they don’t one it’s kind of strange. As for me, I dream every night. Our nightmares comfort us in the end because they’re not real and we’ll accept it. The scariest things in life are real.
We enjoy being generous, whether it be for possessions or knowledge or any of the kind, and when others give back it’s really nice and we kind of just froth at the mouth a bit. Sometimes, however, it’s hard to give, and that’s how you know something’s wrong. We are selfish when we feel threatened, and doing that all the time is sad and ultimately tiring.
Sensual, mostly, though when we want personal space it could be a mile away. Hugs, high-fives and kisses make us feel nice, like we belong and that others care. It’s so fun to do it to others as well and have them accept you. We enjoy laughing and smiling and when someone turns off the mood it’s just a pool of disappointment.
Yes, we can backstab. We have poor judgment at times and don’t think because something else is on our mind or hurt us and all you want to do is cause pain because that’s the only thing you can think of. Lies, deceit and gossip are things Taurus’ can dabble in if you’re not careful. I apologize on our behalf in advance.
If one hurts you, understand that they feel bad about it in the end and it eventually eats them up inside, so it’ll get to them eventually and, thought struggling a bit, apologize. Taurus’ apologizing can be rare, depending on how stubborn they are, but when they do it it’s like a weight off their chest. Though, if they haven’t yet, don’t hold yourself back from talking to them about the problem or even apologize first because chances are they’ll respond.
We love to listen to others. Our ears are arguably are our best sense, to be honest. If you run to us after a fight for comfort and support, you’ll get it, because the feeling of hurt is easily recognizable to us. We just wanna stab the person that hurt you after that, but for you we hold ourselves back if you wish because we care about what you think.
If we’re quiet, we’re probably just thinking. About what? Probably everything. We tend to think too much on occasion, because we give too many effs and sometimes that’s a problem.
Oh, and if we’re loud? We’re enjoying your company or really want to express an opinion. When we get told to shut up it’s kind of annoying.
We’re mostly polite, sensitive people. Don’t be surprised if while we’re yelling we’re crying, because when it cuts, it cuts deep, and we try to look for every scrap of reasoning for it.
When we’re in love... Dude, it gets crazy. We think about them 24/7 even if we don’t want to, we get all cheesy and think about our future together and compile many ways of getting to know them. When we’re being especially charming and nice for them, it irritates us when they act like a twat - instant turn off. Makes us doubt if you’re really a good person for us or not. Breaking up can be mildly depressing for us, because we feel as if we’re not good enough.
When we’re strong again, however, we can act stoic at first, because some scars can’t entirely heal. We focus on helping others than helping ourselves and the constant struggle of such activity sometimes makes us lose it.
With our loved ones we feel the most at home, a warmth so unlike others spreads within us. When we are involved or find comfort in something, we constantly try to keep up that feeling, keep the fire within us burning. With the creativity inside and the neverending attempts to care for others, many Taurus’ go into the arts, nursing and law.
We seek justice, stability and comfort.
And sometimes, when we’re lucky, we’ll find someone who gives us these things, we’ll never want them, want US to end. We do indeed love to savor the moment for as long as we can. When things leave us, it just breaks us a little more.
Sometimes we can’t be bothered keeping things neat and tidy because we often get lazy or tired and i can’t disprove of that. Many times i feel like just laying around all day (which i do sometimes regrettably), but i have to force myself to be a decent human being and help.
It doesn’t matter whether we’re working alone or with a group, as long as we can work properly together. We take initiative as leader many times and have to remind ourselves to let others do work as well. When the project turns out well, it’s such a nice feeling. Being put with a bad group may be a hassle, but we make sure they work as well because we dislike unfairness so much. Oppression is always something we think about.
Jealousy is something we play off. I never said that we did it well, though. We try to make it obvious that we’re uncomfortable in the most civil manner but sometimes even then it’s not enough.
If we have a horrible self-image, it’s just terrible. All you ever think about are your imperfections and how people see you. We stop laughing, smiling, participating in anything entirely and are silent.
We are cheered up when we know you care and try to do something, anything about it.
Taurus’ never forget to say thank you, but please can be a hard word sometimes.
We like giving love advice, btw. Relationships are very fun to look at for us, as we like seeing character progression and how the story ends. If it doesn’t end up well, we curse and keep trying until we get it right, because perfection is what we seek for others and we don’t stop until we know we tried our hardest.
We make it clear that we like you quickly. It has never been a thing of mine to just mess around.
Food is a terrific subject for us, mostly. We enjoy goodness and comfort, and that’s what food gives us. It can even be our safe haven for some.
Also, we hate forgetting things, especially the important ones, because every little thing that floats past us may very be the thing that leads to our downfall oh no.
