just thinking about your katiet post and how amazing they are and about how last time i watched left behind i was sooo struck by how..... lived-in?? their nemesis-ship is??? from kate's perspective, especially. like they've barely spent any time together before that (at least not that we saw.... release the hydra cages night shift tapes!!!!), and it totally makes sense that kate would hate her. but the way she acts around juliet truly makes it feel like she's hated her for YEARS!!!! it's so intimate and like, of COURSE it is, but it blew me away as if i was discovering them for the first time all over again <333 i so hope you get the chance to put them in some reeeeal juicy situations soon!

YES EXACTLY!!! like their canon situation is already so juicy. it's like??? there's SO MUCH to consider about them. i'd never thought of it like that and like omgg you're so right!!! by the time they reach left behind they're already bantering as if they've been at it their whole lives. it's crazy how they already know how to push each other's buttons. kate bringing up ben. juliet saying everything she knows about jack that kate doesn't. kate bossing her around to keep walking. juliet standing up to her and getting her to fix her shoulder. like. that's insane chemistry right there!! rivals chemistry but that only makes it better!!

i'm thinking about it and like, from juliet's side well, she's obviously read kate's file and knows everything about her already. but from kate's perspective juliet must be the strangest most fascinating thing ever because like. i think she does hate her still, but most importantly she wants to hate juliet, she's making an effort to hate her, thinks that she has to hate her, and it's so annoying to her that juliet is making it difficult for her. because like, let's think about it. the day they met, sawyer told kate that juliet would've easily killed her. but since then every single time that kate sees juliet she's defying her expectations. first, telling kate she's doing what she can to help her save sawyer, then, literally killing a man so her and sawyer can escape, next, being besties with jack, then, getting abandoned by the others. even after left behind! what does juliet do? "save" claire. help sun. show up to save her and jack. save jack, again. it's amazing

also a little detail to obsess over: how physical they've been with each other since day one. because they manhandle each other with the handcuffs so naturally, as if they've spent much more time not just around each other but like comfortably close. and i just realized it's because like, they kind of have! the first time they're on screen together? juliet holding her arm (and holding her at gun point i guess), the second time? juliet guiding her around while kate has a bag over her head. the third? juliet throwing her around for a sandwhich! like at the beginning they were never not touching each other!

omg hi this is literally the best ask I have ever received (and sorry for the late response but I needed some time to think about it! i have a Lot to say about this series)

YES it was my first time watching the series, started it in January and finished it about a week ago. I am completely obsessed and it has genuinely become my new favourite show !!

Kate is my absolute fav, love her more than anyone. Others favs are Sayid, Sun, Desmond & Shannon <3 but really I love most characters!!! I may be killed for saying this but I didn’t love Jack… didn’t hate him either but I just think that most of the others were more interesting. It didn’t help that he was paired with my fav Kate a lot of the time which was quite annoying.

As for ships I looove Kate/Sawyer, they were everything and also Sayid/Shannon (THEY DESERVED MORE TIME TOGETHER!!). I’m very into Kate/Claire too!

Maybe a controversial opinion but I wasn’t *that* into Juliet/Sawyer like yes, they’re both amazing characters!! And I really believe they loved each other, but we just didn’t see enough of their relationship for me to really get that invested. Also probably because I love Skate SO much more. Still love them both though!

Charlie/Claire was nice but I much prefer them as friends (also I hc claire as a lesbian and ship her with Kate to the point where I forget she wasn’t in canon lmaoo) BUT their friendship was one of my fav parts of the show <3

It’s funny actually, I don’t normally do hcs or have them for anything but claire just really gives lesbian vibes and and kate has chemistry with practically every woman in lost so… yeah lmao

I cannot pick a favourite season, every one of them had something amazing in them!!! Maybe season 3?? because it had SO much going on, like with The Others while also still having the flashbacks <3

It’s a similar thing with the episodes, so many of them were incredible I can’t really pick any in particular. I loved any & all Kate centric episodes obviously <<33

The season 3 finale was a standout though, Charlie’s death KILLED me because it was so obvious he was gonna die it almost felt like a fake out? Then when he actually did oh my god!!!!! I cried my way through the final 3 eps of that season actually. and the fucking RING he left for Claire…

Wish I had more to say on the episodes but I’m so serious they were all good. I seriously don’t have one bad thing to say about it. Even the finale wasn’t *that* bad, it was just quite rushed I think.

Lost is like.. one of those shows where I don’t have a particular favourite anything (except Kate being my fav character <3) like it’s just all amazing. A great experience from the beginning to the end. I have NEVER seen a show like Lost in my life and I don’t think I ever will again!!

hhii<3 my day has mmm. been. it definitely couldve been better. u know how it is. the sun started going down at like 3pm im not having a good time :( but im trying to distract myself from the Horrors a bit w some thinking about the Character & writing as usual and it;s helping a little <3 if the headache went away thatwould fix everything i think + yayyy okay so earlier i was thinking about . um angst. i was thinking a few days ago about like her absolutely untouched upon relationship to her father and i think i MIGHTVEE talked about this before but justlike. i imagine she struggles holding onto a real self of identity outside of being Charles Widmores Daughter to a certain point. i think she kinda expects that to be the part of her people pay attention to and as tired of that as she is shes so used to it. but like, in relation to things like the total absence of. for example. her mother in her narrative. and then later her spending three FUCKING years looking for My Detested Enemy. i just think it would be interesting were she the sort of person who gets very caught up in these things of like. looking for something else to fill that gap of Identity up for her. (like again we hear a grand total of zero words about her mother like ever except for the implication she was the reason widmore got his club penguin account suspended but i just imagine her being something penelope was Looking For for a while. in a metaphorical sense. after she died. something her father would not fill in the gaps for her. you know???) like many other characters. see i thought "wow just like charlotte too" typing that but then i was like wait. desmond does that too. and then i was like wait every character in this show does that. sometimes i trulycannot believe these people. but it makes sense to let penny embody that behavior too then right? i mean granted shes never on the island but you cant say she isnt connected to it, in a sense you could argue she exists because of it. but thats another thing for another time. anyway thank you thank you <3

i actually only started watching lost about four months ago! i needed something to fill the void after finishing season 2 of severance.

favorite trait of shannon's: she's funny as hell. "address: craphole island" "you two are like jungle pals!" "you finally learned how to tie your own shoes?" i love her wit, and i feel like her comedic timing indicates how intelligent she is, despite how she intentionally tries to play into the bimbo archetype.

least favorite trait of shannon's: the casual racism! that sucked. i'm referring to the scene where she sicced security on sayid at the airport. i honestly don't think it came from a place of genuine prejudice, the point of the scene was shannon proving to boone that she could be taken seriously, after he stated that no one would listen to her and she's generally "incapable." this scene also happened the morning after sober boone slept with very drunk shannon, so i think she was also hungover and feeling incredibly resentful of him for taking advantage of her. none of these things excuse her behavior, of course, but i do think it's important to consider the context when trying to understand her motive here.

favorite trait of sayid's: the way he's chivalrous without treating women as weak. i love the way he immediately identifies kate as someone highly capable and trustworthy. he takes her on dangerous missions because he knows she can hold her own, but he also worries about sawyer being a creep to her, and bids her farewell by kissing her hand. SO CUTE. there's also subtle moments like him offering sun his hand to help her out of the helicopter before she reunites with her family, or helping shannon climb the mountain in the pilot. or when he shoots himself in the leg to allow nadia to flee, and he cups his hand around the gun to prevent any shrapnel or blood from hitting her. side note: i don't know much about ballistics, but i do know human anatomy, and shooting yourself in the thigh at point-blank range would be at best, permanently disabling to some degree, and at worst, fatal. he could have SO easily died from hemorrhage, a fat embolism, or even compartment syndrome (what killed boone). it's just batshit bonkers to me that he likely knew the risk he was taking by shooting himself in the thigh, and he still elected to do so to save nadia, and still took the time to protect her from any blowback from it. SIMP BEHAVIOR

least favorite trait of sayid's: his temper. it's funny to watch in the show, and it's fun to write, but i know it would piss me off irl. he has a pretty short fuse and it doesn't take much for him to crash out, lmao.

oohh okay so i dont know which one to choose ghsjdfhgjfh there were a few through but i'm going to go for the girl in the french classes i took after high school because that's the one that made me go OH. so i really AM a lesbian huh? she was a little older than me, very nice, very extroverted, but kind to me, i remember she was into cycling and was like athletic and stuff, we did a couple of exercises in pairs together. and she made me so nervous i felt like dying every time i was on my way to class so i ended up quitting the french classes <333

18. What is your favorite flower?

so i actually don't think i have one? orchids are popular here so i guess that could be it. it could be sunflowers too because that was my grandma's favorite flowers and i used to be terrified of them so. at least i have strong feelings toward them lol

oohhh fun!! god the blonde/brunette lesbians kill me every time lol okay so! for stursia, definitely carol as, well, carol/juliet and zosia as therese/kate. the actual plot of the fic wouldn't change too much like the christmas kidnapping and romantic roadtrip that ends in a see you soon. but i'd change their background like this, zosia as a gorgeous and apologetic kidnapper working with some criminal organization called the hive, and they're targeting this reclusive rich writer who's grieving her wife and seems like an easy target <3

it's harder with lottielee though! because lottie is definitelyy more like carol (trying to break free from her dad instead of an exhusband probably) and laura lee would be good as therese. but in the katiet specific au idkk im struggling to see laura lee as a kidnapper lol maybe she's doing it out of peer pressure? or we could keep the brunette as the kidnapper. lottie is part of a cult and they're fighting against some church that messed with them so they kidnap the pastor's daughter on christmas 👀 wait i kind of like this hsgjdfhgjfh

oh this is fun. there are many that are similar i think. there are a few coffee shops, many haunted houses, random little moments of comfort, everyone being roommates for some reason, and my favorite, "everything is the same but my favorite character lives/was there from the start". AND i have literally not one but two bly manor aus, however one if one of my favorite fics i've written, and the other was a flop that i never continued hgsjfdhgjh i might compare the good one with a hill house au that was one of my first fics ever but. not quite. SO i'm going to go with my Conjuring AUs. they aren't exactly the same due to one being a nice and very contained one shot and the other a multichapter that i haven't finished yet. but i think the vibes are there! All the gods have been domesticated (lottielee) and although I was burning, you're the only light (ronance)

hgjdfghsfdjghf i was going to be like oh i know exactly which one is the most different from everything else. that one ronance smut that i dont talk about. so i wanted to choose something slightly less scandalous (i think?) and pick the yellowjackets milf orgy BUT i think cannibalism and body horror is a little stranger than beautiful women having sex right? so i'll go for the jackieshauna diy eye surgery of now she sleeps with one eye open (the price she'll pay) vs.... okay i think this was the cutest story i could find, fear street fluff without plot Sam Fraser Has a Good Day

12—what's a headcanon you have for this character?

oh boy how do I pick.

in the realm of more serious/grim headcanons. gut feeling she had the same struggle with the concept of fate as desmond did for a long time. she came to terms with it after a while but she was really shook up after the whole. you know. killing daniel thing. read through his notebook (& shared it w charles) and all that and it was just a lot to parse. similar denial/trying to figure out a way to worm out of it phase & that also affected how she acted toward her son later on because you know. she was looking at him and seeing the man she was going to kill one day. she was never really going to be normal about that but especially when she was younger & he was little & she was still reconciling about it. by the time he really looked like the man she killed she was pretty good at pretending to be okay with it. ...um, on a similar topic I think she kept watch on everybody who was mentioned in daniels notes which is why she knew about desmond & got involved in his storyline (+ the. weird implication she knew brother campbell...?) uhhhh. I feel like i wanted to add something about her relationship with charles but I don't remember. I just think they're so funny I kinda love them they'd just make such a fun divorced couple, if it weren't for the horrors there'd be the most funny sitcom stupid ass family reunions going on with this little chunk of the character web... um, okay I think that's all I have to say that's still relevant

firstly let me say she is notttt an emoji user but wouldn't it be so funny if she was. ominous foreboding text that chills you to your core followed by the 😊 emoji. that's her vibe to me. anyway ummmmm.
