(He bonded with an albino raven, the chick of his uncles' storytelling of raven bondbirds that chose him young because they were pretty much perfect, but he left him behind when he fled because he felt unworthy of him and now it's been 15 years and he's basically been miserable every moment and hates himself for it even if he's sure it was the right thing.)
