Can we just appreciate American Dad for a second.
The show's been running since 2004 and even 14 seasons in it's still such a well written, funny show with likeable characters that keeps coming up with amazing new ideas for episodes. And there's barely been any decline in overall quality. Aside from it having slightly more violent imagery in some episodes it's pretty much the same show it was at the beginning except it allowed the characters to grow and develop naturally instead of flanderizing them. With the exception of maybe Stan I find Francine, Haley, Steve, Klaus and Roger are all still incredibly likeable and interesting characters. Now the show has had quite a lot of bad episodes but that's expected with a long life span but I can still see the heart in this show. I believe these characters are still mostly a loving family that care about each other. And that's just so good to see.
A show lasting 15 years is impressive. But a show lasting 15 years and maintaining the same standard of quality writing and heart throughout is near impossible (even South Park despite it's topical humour started to slip in recent years). It's just funny the show that was once Family Guy's second fiddle has grown to be so much better today than Family Guy could ever hope to be.
Me praying for the premiere date of Close Enough
"I could use a facehugger in my life" I finally had the time to watch Final Space and oh my... IT'S SO GOOD. It has great animation, interesting characters, wild backstory and, even though it's an animation for adults, their jokes aren't only based on insults or sex, so yeah, plus it has a lot of heart, I highly recommend it. I really loved Mooncake and I hope we can see more of him in season 2. Also, this is the first animation I made and it took me 2 days... so, please credit if you repost! Thanks!
