you had been cooped up in your room for what seemed like eternity, the one person in which you’d spend all your time with was busy studying for upcoming exams - just like you have been for the past few days.
your boyfriend of two years, eric, hadn’t been paying you much attention lately. his absence very evident and his lack of replies weren’t helping things.
firguring it was time for a break, you glanced out of your bedroom window, the sky was dark and gloomy and the pitter-pattering of the rain tapping against your window was oddly calming; from the headache forming in your head and the soothing sounds of the water outside, it was quite the contrast.
interrupting your mini daydream was the sound of your ringtone, on your phone read the person who had been occupying your brain. pressing ‘accept’ on facetime, your boyfriend appeared on the screen with a smile gracing his features, causing a smile to appear on your face as you were finally able to hear his voice again.
