Okay so we know there's not much about the design of the captain, but is there a specific gender that's preferred or is that also ‘fuck it we ball’ for now?

the captain is canonically an intersex nonbinary person! although we usually frame them as slightly more masc-leaning, they’re VERY “fuck it we ball” in terms of gender. gender may as well not exist to them.

what if instead of the cogwork logs it was the 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 logs and instead of the caelum they were on a ship called the 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂lum and the characters were a 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 scientist called nye de𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 and a 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 engineer called mavis 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴son and a 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴s officer called cassiopeia st. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 who is often thwarted by the 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 captain

Felt like y'all should hear about all the amazing people putting this project together, and coincidentally be introduced to our colorful cast of main characters, so... here's a list!!

Compass is a good friend of mine, and has been a great help in getting this project off the ground, and even conceptualized in the first place. Compass is also the v/a for the nerdy Nye DeSilva. Laura, or as some of you might better know her, the v/a for Eva Sinanger in Witherburn After School News, was one of the main creative influences in forming the rudimentary plot for tcwlgs. Yes, yes, you all already know and love me from my posts on this account, but some additional info: My name is Kya, I'm the primary writer for tcwlgs, I run this blog, and I (fittingly) fill the role of the Caelum's comms officer, the chaotic Cassiopeia St. James. Cassiopeia St. James is a force of nature, and she fights to put humor into her day to day life, even when her efforts are sometimes thwarted by our final main character, who is played by...

Keely is the other writer for this project, and has been an invaluable resource to bounce ideas off of in these last few months, while I was finishing up the scripts. They're incredibly smart, logical, and kind, so it would only make sense that they voice a character with those same traits; the Caelum's Captain. The Captain is dryly funny, extremely competent, and operates with one main goal: keep their crew out of trouble, if at all possible (and they're beginning to think it might not be). At the end of every day, as custom, they record a log to submit to Nautilus, the company that all characters mentioned work for.

...and that is how we get The Cogwork Logs!!
