Drayton doesn't cry. Huh????
its my au. in my au Drayton got more emotional and sensitive after the death of his twin brother (also my au!!!)
yes I know in canon he doesn't act that way or have a twin but it is my au. I dont appreciate getting hate for my au. and you don't know how he acts away from the movies so can you stop being so rude? its my au and my headcanon. in my au he has a twin brother, okay? MY au.
Sanders sides au where the dark side of creativity is escapism (and by extension denial, so like escapism to the point of dangerous avoidance) and instead of being connected to creativity intrusive thoughts is the same side as anxiety (cause like both cause distress and can be irrational but also because both can kind of be thinking about what ifs)
This idea is definitely not alluding to any projects in particular it’s just completely random dw about it 😇😇😇
Welcome back to another episode of Crescent yaps to absolutely nobody: one of the meta things I was most excited about back when I was super dedicated to my side OC au was the idea of messing with audience expectations
Cause TCM au is pretty derivative, you know the anxiety side is going to get redeemed by the end of season one, you know there’s secret sides the protagonist doesn’t know about, you know the creative side has a secret sibling, you know the logical side is bottling up their feelings and that certain antagonists intend to take advantage of that. But you don’t know all the differences in how any of that plays out.
The main example was in act one: everyone knows the dark sides are going to be revealed next season, so there’s no reason to be subtle about the foreshadowing! So it’s not subtle, it’s not subtle to a point it becomes odd that our protagonist- the only one who doesn’t know what’s coming- isn’t picking up on it. Until you realize he is picking up on it.
I’ve been watching My Little Pony, and it inspired me to design some cutie marks for the Sawyer boys.
I went with how the Apple Family all have some sort of apple motif included in their cutie marks, and I wanted that to allude to the “the saw is family” line from TCM2.
So here they are. I don’t know if I’m all that proud of Chop-Tops, color wise, but oh well.
Drayton:
(Obviously, the cook gets a bone saw. It’s what made the most sense.)
Bubba:
(Couldn’t have Bubba without his chainsaw!)
Nubbins:
(A tactical saw, handheld, quick, easy. The twins both have one featured in their cutie marks.)
Chop-Top:
(Psychedelic, manic and representative of his affinity for music of course.)
Tell me what you think!
So, I’ve got an AU I’ve been planning to do something with for a while.
I present: The Cretaceous Chainsaw Massacre
It’s exactly what it sounds like.
I’d come up with the theory that Mama Sawyer (a Moros intrepidus) was an egg thief and she commonly stole from bigger theropods. This caused her to end up raising two Qianzhousaurus and a Tyrannosaurus rex alongside her own offspring.
I know Qianzhousaurus is an Asian Tyrannosaurid, but I wanted all four of them to still be in the same family of dinosaurs, and the long snout and the thin body just fit Nubbins and Chop-Top too well. So…let’s just say they’re a North American variant of Alioramini.
Bubba being a T-Rex makes sense and so does Drayton being a Moros intrepidus.
He ended up having to raise them proper after their mother passed.
And as for Grandpa, despite being well past the age of being useful at all to the pack, they’ve still kept their eldest member with them. Family means everything.
That’s all I’ve really got so far, so if anyone has any questions, I’d be open to answering them.
In the original movie, he kind of went to war, but he was like a fucking bastard, I don't believe he served, so I fixed it, he got a little pumped up
The day before yesterday, I watched TMC 3D and now I have hyperfixed the universe of the Texas massacre again, so I did something like AU. I know it looks weird. in the first art, Amanda, the main character and, in principle, an athlete. Bubba himself is on the second art, but so as not to fly for copyright(???) I renamed him Adrian, he's the same Bubba from the first two films, just a little softer and he's only 18 years old. On the last art, Amanda's two sisters, Edda and Ruby, the three of them are inseparable, in fact, all three of them went to Texas :3
