Sure, maybe things didn't work out the way she wanted to with his brother, but Kisa wasn't picky when she still needed help. The sunlight was a problem, and this particular Gecko, while still something that probably scurried in the light of day... was still useful.

At least in part.

Sunrise was approaching fast and she could FEEL it, like a pressing weight on her non-existent heart. "I asked you nicely, Seth. If not for me, for your brother." She tried not to play the brother card unless she was desperate because he hated her for what she had done to Richie, but it was something that needed to happen. "And I'll make it worth your while, carino." she reached out and placed a hand against his arm. One, she was hungry -- and two, she needed someone taken care of for her, and if someone else could do it for her that wouldn't be linked back to her DIRECTLY. Even better.

Vanessa had a laundry list of things she would say to Seth should she ever see him again. This would be the SECOND time she had covered for him and the SECOND time she had ended up in JAIL for him. One would think enough was enough. She never claimed to be smart, and it showed. Somehow, like always, their paths crossed again now that she had done her time -- done HIS time and she was attempting to rebuild the life he had taken from her. It was no easy feat when one is a convicted felon, and she never strayed far from the home she had been building for him when HE was in jail. So when she saw him come into the gas station she was currently working at, it was as if her whole state of being came to a skidding HALT.

Anger flooded her vision as she watched him and she could feel her fingers clutching the phone she was currently speaking on before she slammed it down on the cradle.

Calm down. Calm down. Calm down. You need this job. You need this job. He isn't worth it. HE ISN'T WORTH IT.

Words echoed in her head and she was soon moving before she could even stop herself. Coming down the aisle he was in, Vanessa did something she never thought she would do. She PUNCHED one Seth Gecko right in his attractive face. And H A R D.

She would just say he was trying to rob the shop, that would save her job right?
