at first, you are bitching up a storm and he won't stop smiling, but when the challenge actually starts, you two are a monster of a team. Everyone is definitely scared of you two (Owen makes a comment that you two make an awesome power couple and you glare at him)

I marathoned the show recently and I just found your blog and read the theories. I read that the comics have 2 year jump and probably the show will do it too. Too me is more propable that she will come after that jump, she has a serious head wound and she does not know where they are. I think that she will always look for them but she l find them by chance mostly and it will take a lot of time. idk maybe travelling with a new group and come to one of the settlements
This is definitely a plausible theory! It’s hard to say when Beth will come back for sure, many people differ on when they believe that time will be. I don’t think Beth has been on her own for the entirety of her absence, with a head injury like the one she had, she definitely would have needed help from other people in her recovery time. So there is a chance she is with a group we haven’t been introduced to yet, while some think she may be with the Scavengers (I recommend going to @bethgreenewarriorprincess and/or @bethgreeneishopeunseen for more information on that).
I hope the show does the time jump, just to eliminate the repetitive nature of going from running, to stability, to losing that stability, to fighting with others. Having two (or more) years where there is stability, I believe will be good for the show/characters.
I think it’d be really interesting if Beth came back after the time jump because it would be an even larger surprise for her family (especially Maggie) since as of right now she’s only been gone for a few months in the timeline of the show. Bringing her back after the time jump could make for really interesting story telling if they end up doing the cure theory around Beth (and it would make sense to do it after All Out War rather than in the middle of it).
Personally, I hope they bring her back sooner just because I’m impatient but I think you’ve brought up some really valid points. Thanks for writing!! (and sorry for the late response)
I'm just there to tell you that I've (finally!) started reading Teenage Dirtbag and I'm having the time of my life! I feel like I'm taking a trip down memory lane with the vast majority of the references (and I'm saying "vast majority" because I'm not American and I was only 11 in '99) 😍 I recognize almost all the songs by title and lyrics and it's absolutely delightful. Still, what you hit me really hard in the feels with is Vertical Horizon's Everything You Want - I still love that song so damn much, as much as I did when I first heard it 20+ years ago. i’m really happy i decided to do the one shots. incorporating these stories from mickey’s POV through a “retelling” sort of conversation in TD was gonna be WAY too hard (and clunky) and the one shots let me tell the stories the way i WANT to tell them without compromising the flow of the main story 💛

oh goodness yes 🥺 as of right now i’m only like 1/3 of the way through the chapter and there’s already three super soft, sweet moments (one of which fucking hurt to write 😭 it’s not bad, i promise, i just got emotional because, of course i did lmao)
this chapter is largely focused on their relationship and their futures (and by “their” i mean everybody’s, gallaghers and milkoviches). it’s very conversation-heavy and introspective (on ian’s part, since he’s our narrator) but also takes place over a pretty decent chunk of time, so a lot happens/changes! 💛
