i loooooove at&t long lines towers. i take photos of them every time i see them on a road trip like i’ve sighted a cryptid

they were made by at&t and used microwave infrared radiation to send tv and phone signals across the country. but they didn’t have enough bandwidth for internet so got abandoned by the time that was coming around. now they all just lay abandoned, too expensive to take down and not useful enough to be put into use again. i love seeing them. they look quite different from typical radio towers, not being towering masts or trusses covered in drums or slender poles littered in rectangles but these collections of odd shapes that almost appear to look off into the distance, directly at the next tower. they’re like a sort of mythical creature to me.

I said I'd do it one day...but those of you who were expecting DK were dead wrong! And this one ended up being a commission heheh <3 it's just lucky she was who I planned on drawing for this anyway! For people who aren't aware, Peach was actually meant to be the special fighter after TD Sandman! But due to concerns about promoting domestic violence against women, she was switched out with DK. We could've had something great,,, 😭
