Nala
Casey thought that being in love with Natalie was one of the best thing that had ever happened to her, and in all honesty, it had been. Natalie helped her get better, Natalie showed her how to love, Natalie made her think before acting and honestly, Casey could have seen herself with this girl for the rest of her life, and there she would have been happy but this.. this wasn't love. The hiding, the sneaking, the pretending just to be friends when all Casey wanted to do was sweep the other girl off her feet and carry her away into the sunset.. it wasn't warm anymore. It wasn't right. She knew that Natalie deserved better than her and if that meant breaking off...whatever this was then so be it.
Walking up to the girl, Casey pulling her into a hug, not bothering to explain the thoughts behind her actions. No, not tonight. It lasted a bit longer than it should have, Casey's hold on the other girl tight and desperate as she soaked up as much of whatever love was left before she broke away from the girl, leaning up and pressing her lips against Natalie's.
The trail of tears cried too long ago burned onto her face in a desperate act of defiance. She had tried so hard not to cry, tried so hard not to think or breathe or move. But it was too late.
"This is goodbye."
