Unfortunately for TDG (but fortunately for life), I’ve been working full time as of late and haven’t found the time to commit to TDG right now - I’m sure many of you have noticed the shortage of posting. As of right now, I don’t have any updates on the book.

It is absolutely a goal of mine to get back into writing and blogging. And messages like this are very inspiring to me, knowing that people want to hear more - please keep me accountable!

tdg2 update? it seems so!?

I’m curious about your opinions - I am not entirely confident in my ability to finish TDG2 the way I wanted to, because my life is taking a wonderful turn in another direction. I’ve decided to focus all of my energies into my future career, and as much as I love this blog and this book, I’ve been needing this time away.

I digress. Back to main topic, TDG2. Despite it not being entirely complete, I have a large chunk of it completed, and I’m considering using what I already have and just publishing it anyway, for the sake of getting things done.

I have not gotten an excellent response from my handwriting survey, which is one of the reasons I’ve been putting off completing the book - that was going to be a big part of it. But I do think what I have now is an excellent update to the first book.

I’m curious if you would be interested in a book that will be published that may not be everything I wanted - over a failed book that will sit in a draft folder on my computer.

TDG2: an update!

I recently passed my 17,000th word - not an incredible milestone, but enough to make me want to let you guys in on what I’ve been doing lately.

I’ve been constantly working on the organization; determining what goes where has been one of the biggest challenges for me, since there is so much more information.

I’ve also been illustrating this edition, so you’ll see more photos and artwork.

Today, I added a great deal to a section entitled “Finding Information: Using Technology to Your Advantage”, something I recently decided to add.

I’ve also started compiling and analyzing my research from my handedness survey, and I’m starting to see some interesting correlations (and non-correlations). I don’t have enough data from my survey on handwriting, so if you’re reading this and you haven’t submitted your response, go do it! Be a part of science!

Any news on the book?

I’ve been pretty quiet about it lately, sure. I’ve actually been able to find some time this semester (magically), and I’ve been slowly but surely adding bit by bit. I’m at about 125 pages of a goal of at least 150-175, if that gives you any sort of clue - although it’s hard to tell how much I have left... since I haven’t written it yet.

I promise you guys it’ll happen!

will the second edition include the same chapters from the first with more information added or will it just be a sort of continuation on the subjects?
