I told you things I’ve never said out loud before
Tumblr still feels like my safe place after so many years
learning how powerful it is to say “this is what i feel” and “this is what i want” and firmly standing by it
ik i’m fine on my own but where is the love of my life
My energy isn’t for everyone. And that’s intentional.

Whats it like in Law School…
So In a few days it will be the start of the 2nd semester and also some law schools open their admissions for freshmen at this season so maybe its timely to write this…whats it like in law school
First I will tell the basics, foremost the attire. In our school it is required for a student to attend class wearing formal attire so expect to see almost everyone in a corporate get-up (coat and tie, barong for men. Dress, blazers and office pants for women). Those who dont dress properly are at risk of being called multiple times for recitation in the duration of the class.
Second, how do they teach at law school? This is the hard part since we are used to listening to our teachers give lectures, which is different in law school. Once a professor enters the room they jump ahead to the recitation part (readings are given in advance), they will gauge how well you understood (on your own, yes on your own) the assigned readings which will either be cases, articles from the law or even both. Slacking is not suggested and is a mortal sin unless its okay for you to be humiliated in front of the class just because you did not read up. Some professors will give lectures to better explain the topic after the gruesome recitation and some just give minor clarifications. This will depend on how well the recitation went and with the discretion of the certain professor.
Third is exams. All the exams will be in essay form. They will give a scenario and they will ask you to state if the ruling of the court is correct or if you will be the judge what will be your verdict or is the law correctly applied and other similar scenarios. This may seem easy to answer specially in an essay type but there is just the crucial detail of backing your answer with a legal basis and explaining how it is applicable to the question given. Also some exams will come with either an enumeration, fill in the blanks (this is for memorizing the exact words of the law), multiple choice (fun but tricky) or true or false. The exam will depend on what is applicable to the subject being handled.
Fourth is our grading system. In our school we only have three factors that determines grades. It depends on recitation, midterm exam and final exam, yes these three only so better pull your shit together from the start till the end of the semester to avoid having anxiety attacks during the release of the grades.
Fifth is the amount of workload. This will depend greatly on the subject. Some subjects are more focus on cases and they will require you to read atleast 20 cases (cases can be as short as 2 pages or can be up to 100+ pages including opinions from other judges) or some focus more on the provisions of the law itself (this can range from 3 articles and above) a few provisions wont hurt but some articles include a lot or subheaders under it so if its only a few that was assigned there will always be a catch.
In the end to wrap it all up, law school can give a person culture shock for the first semester since it is a lot different from undergrad studies. Yet it is fun and challenging at the same time but you will need a lot of guts to get through it. As long as you are dedicated it will be just a walk in the park.
I attest to this huhu it is fun, yes. walk in the park nga eh, jurassic park char

“Living with anxiety feels a lot like living on the run - except you’re running away from your own life.”
On our own we are hopeless. But with God, we have the access to His presence, which offers peace we can't even begin to understand.
Philippians 4:6-7
6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
“Living with anxiety feels a lot like living on the run - except you’re running away from your own life.”
