(hahaha! You thought you could escape? You did it to us, now it’s your turn >:D)
You wake up as Sen. Right after the very last scene you wrote— and if that was an action sequence? Oh boy. What do you do?
Okay, the very last scene I wrote was for Child's Play in the museum. However, this question came up while I was writing for Ninja-Ball. Therefore, I'll use the scene I wrote when this question came in 👀 especially since it would otherwise be a spoiler for Child's Play, sorry, even though it would actually be particularly interesting there!
Okay, the last scene I wrote when your question came up was when Sen fell onto the Destiny's Bounty in the middle of the race!
It's more or less an action scene, but I have the advantage that Sen had a reason to be a little...off in the scene, meaning it wouldn't be immediately noticeable if I were acting strangely.
The problems start when the race is over and I'm with the team.
One problem here is English 😅 I can understand English perfectly, but I absolutely cannot speak it. Believe me, it's the worst stammering combined with an accent you can imagine. And I couldn't write to communicate with the others either, because I don't know Ninjargōn.
From the others' perspective, Sen is suddenly very strange. I could still cover it up the first night, since a lot happened at the Ninja Ball and the others probably just think Sen is exhausted. But after that? Then I'd really have to come up with something or I'll have to deal with the consequences of SEN'S actions!
Sen suddenly doesn't understand the others as well anymore, is suddenly very shy, somehow different, and can't even do Spinjitzu anymore – I think if I play this right, I could try to convince them it's due to trauma 👀 Sen was dealing with Serpentine in that chapter and was briefly alone with Garmadon. I'll just try to convince them that 'my' trauma with Pythor in Ouroboros resurfaced, and then Zane would give some clever explanation about how that affects my mental state, blah blah.
I'd try to buy myself some time, and have a reason not to go on missions or why I'm so distant from the team.
That's not going on missions, I guess that goes without saying xD Adventure and the Power of Friendship can go to the Cursed Realm, nobody's dragging me there! But honestly, I wouldn't do much with the team either. I love the ninja, but I doubt I'd get along with them. They're so outgoing and loud and love fighting, mech's, and all that...yeah, no, I'd rather be in a room with a book. Sorry, I wouldn't get along with 'em 👀
Running away wasn't an option either, because I'm a scaredy-cat and wouldn't be able to cope on my own in Ninjago!
So, I'll stay on the ship for now and play the role of Sen, especially in my room. The ninja would quickly notice that something's wrong, but I'd stubbornly blame it on the trauma no matter how hard they'll try to get some answers out of me, I will block them out.
Funnily enough, I don't swear as much as Sen xD I do when I'm alone, but practically never when I'm with others. I also almost never make pop culture references. However, I have an advantage there – while I never use pop culture references myself, I at least know them and can try to fake them to seem more like Sen. There are other differences in our personalities, of course, but like I said – trauma excuse.
So, while I'm keeping myself away from the ninja, I'd secretly try to learn Ninjargōn: actually, it's something I'd probably be really good at, unlike Sen. I have experience learning the Japanese alphabet relatively quickly. And Ninjargōn is actually quite easy in comparison; I'd say I should be fluent in less than a month, since Sen luckily has cheat sheets with her Ninjargōn exercises that I could find and use.
Once I'd mastered Ninjargōn pretty well, I'd finally dare to talk to Wu, or rather, write to him. I'd tell him on paper that I'm from another world. I'm not sure if I'd dare to say that I'm not Sen. I'd be afraid that the demigod son of the First Spinjitzu Master, with demon blood, would think I was responsible for the death of his student 😅
Well, after that, the plan would definitely be to get help to get back home, because I'm DEFINITELY NOT staying there as Sen voluntarily. At that point in the story, several villains already have their sights set on Sen. I'm not putting myself through that!!!
Could Wu help me? Well, I have no idea. At least in The Dreaming Whip, Earth isn't one of the 16 Realms, and then there's the problem that I'm in a different body. I'd almost certainly want to contact Mystaké as well.
I briefly considered asking Cloud Kingdom for help because, even if they are frauds, they at least have a lot of knowledge about the realms...but when I think about what they think of Sen...yeah, if I get in touch with them, you probably won't hear from me again.
I'd be pretty desperate. I'd probably even try to contact the Source Dragons. 🤣 I mean, yeah, they're not interested in Mortals, but I'm probably a bit...special, so maybe I'll get lucky. Who knows?
I absolutely have to find my way home before Season 3, if not before the end of Season 2! I can't stay in Ninjago any longer, because of...reasons.
Well, until I find a way out, I'll just have to try and get myself out of there.
Spinjitzu is out of the question for me; I wouldn't learn it. I wouldn't train it either. However, I do have two advantages over Sen: First, I know exactly what kind of magic I'm resistant to. Sen is still learning how it all works in the story and is therefore hesitant to put it to the test. I, on the other hand, have a whole list in my head of what would and wouldn't work on me. That's a huge advantage. So maybe I'd just try to steal the Mega Weapon, lol.
Another good thing is, I have a much better Ninjago knowledge than Sen!
Sen lives in 2021, which means the 11 Minute Era isn't even over for her, and she only knows the series loosely up to Season 10.
I know every season, I've read all the canon books and comics, and I constantly read Tommy Andreasen's and Doc Wyatt's tweets.
My Ninjago knowledge is much more advanced, which could be a great advantage should I find myself in danger and Wu try to doubt me.
If he finds out I'm not Sen and doubts my story, I'll simply tell him three things to convince him that I'm really not just an imposter:
Aspheera, Morro, and Strike.
All three are important characters in Wu's life, things that many ordinary people probably don't know about. I'm hoping that this will make him believe me more. Well. I wouldn't want to tell the ninja. I might be able to convince Wu, after all, he's an old man who's survived a lot of crazy things, but the ninja? Oh no, they'll think I took their little sister away!
Therefore, I would continue to insist to the team that it's the trauma. They would probably doubt it more over time, but that's what Wu is for, who will hopefully help me keep the team a secret. If there's one thing Wu is good at, it's keeping secrets from the team xD
And otherwise, I would try to stay out of the story, hoping that if I hide long enough, Ninjago might forget about the Gray Ninja...oh please, being Sen is bad enough. But the Gray Ninja? Especially after the events of Ninja-Ball? FUCK THIS SHIT I'M OUT.
However, there is one character who wouldn't buy this charade from me;
I can't really explain why. But Lloyd would definitely know right away that I'm not Sen. He wouldn't buy any of my lies and would be furious! Maybe Wu could convince him not to tell the ninja anything, with luck. But Lloyd wouldn't trust me, never. He'd only see me as the stranger who inhabited his friend's body and made her disappear. He'd be a thorn in my side until he gets Sen back, and if that doesn't happen...I'd be screwed.
