When my sibling says it would look better in color, and I find a way to trace it over and start adding said color, and after an hour of solid work realise that I might have bitten off more than I can chew😂

We'll have to see how it looks once I'm finished lol

After about 15 hrs in tea. Had taken a dremel to the scapulas so they accepted the most red. Love that they look like lungs now. Anxious for them to dry.

Came out darker than I wanted but it's my fault for tossing in the last of the hibiscus and making it too strong. Next time much less flower and shorter soak time. Back to the drawing board.

I’m a little bit obsessed with tea staining at the moment. I haven’t been finishing my cups of tea recently whilst working from home so any of the cold dregs gets used to make nice designs on my planners and notebooks.

Pros are that it makes the pages look a bit more interesting and it’s fun.

Cons are that it takes a long while to dry and it does cause a bit of bleed through from previous pages as you can see on the picture on the left but usually it’s fine with the Hobonichi. If you want to try to do this on your own notebooks obviously the higher the gsm of your pages the better.

If there are any people out there that can think of a reason NOT to do the tea staining let me know but otherwise if it’s fun, I’m going to keep doing it lol.
