“You don’t owe him anything,” says Wil.

Dark’s eyeliner is streaming with the tears. His teeth are a desperate snarl. He wants to sink them into something so deeply that they’ll shatter before the pain comes back. He wants to taste the blood that will wake him from this nightmare. “But he owes US fucking EVERYTHING.”

It comes out in a roar, spit stringing between his teeth, and it hunches him over the cracked sink with his hands gripping the porcelain so tight that it HURTS. Red light splinters over the walls, jagged like lightning, and the room shakes from the reverb of his voice.

the decision to have james ortiz as the newscaster in the beginning of the movie was so CHOICE i'm chewing on it so hard like that's the very first human voice we hear in the movie that isn't grace's - and it's the first voice that grace remembers. it's not that far of a leap to assume that the newscaster IS the same guy from the voice bank like that's not a crazy thing to assume at all which would mean

the first thing grace remembered was rocky's voice, and he hadn't even met him yet
