So this may seem silly and you definitely don't have to do it, but I just wanted to put in an ask, like. The Madrigals with a British S/O[hopefully I put the SO thing right 🤣] and just the family doing little things that annoy them but they don't say anything, until one of them made Tea with like, seven sugars and no milk, wicu is when they forcefully make all of them listen to the proper way to make tea

This idea purely stemmed from a nightmare where i couldn't make a cup of tea correctly.

I- I mean, I LOVE the idea but- I'm sorry, did you say milk?! MILK?! *Confused mexican noises*

tbf they do have Yorkshire Tea but it’s decaff because that’s all they drink

hiii :) I'm visiting New York and staying at my (second somthing)cousin's apartement and she has this picture of a page from the New York Journal in 1807 explaining the best way to make tea and I immediately thought of you!

(I'm not sure if you can read it but it says -

Put half a level teaspoonful of leaf for each cup in a pot previously rinsed out with boiling water. Pour BOUILING WATER on the leaf, and infuse for LESS than FIVE MINUTES; pour off and add cream and sugar to taste. If taken without cream, use less leaf, or dilute in the cup with water. NEVER BOIL TEA. USE BOILING WATER. )

jumping in on this discussion bc I love tea

usually when I make it, I put a little bit of cold milk (usually oat bc cows milk does not agree with me) and it stays hot enough to drink

I have been known to chuck it in the microwave but it's usually not an issue bc the water is scalding when I pour it

I don't do that with fruity or iced teas though, just a bit of sugar in there is good

not sure if this will answer your question completely but I just like how it tastes and it makes the tea smoother and it just has a better mouth feel with a bit of milk imo

Okay, okay, you speak my lenguage (I love tea too), so, what kind of tea you put milk on? And like, do you put suggar on the tea with milk too or not? I need instructions and answers bc now I wanna try new teas
