Hey! So I'm just getting into witchcraft and paganism, and I was wondering what a Tea Witch is? It sounds very interesting and appealing, because I love tea!
Simple as it sounds, tea witches are witches that work with tea! They might use tea as their main craft, but instead, most of us are eclectic or kitchen witches who love to work with tea, and are as addicted to it as I am. I present to you:

🍵 What is a tea potion?: 🍵
Tea potions, made by an infusion of tea or herbs, are the most popular type of witchy drink out there. No wonder why: it is incredibly easy to make, and the variety of ingredients a witch can use to craft it is almost endless. They are good for our spirit, but also for our bodies; depending on the ingredient and how they react with your body, a tea can he,p relieve some minor pain and discomfort we may be suffering from time to time.
I like to think that, as a potion, is a little spell that combines the four elements. Fire to boil, water to infuse, air from steam and earth from the ingredients. It’s a natural and gentle way for a witch to connect with their craft!
🍵 How to make them: 🍵
Just as easy as you think, tea is tea-- but it is as magick as you want to make it. Just like you can use intentions to give meaning to anything you do, you can take your tea and turn it into a spell, a ritual, or a charm. There’s a million methods for it. From chants, to spells, to sigils, to specific recipes, you can feel free to experiment with your teas to get the desired result. Still, there are some important things to take into consideration.
🍵 The ingredients: 🍵
Just like basically anything, there is intent and meaning behind every ingredient. Here I’m gonna list the (magickal) uses some common tea or tea add-on s you might have home that you can use to craft a simple, and perfect potion!
Chamomile | calming, relaxing
Rose | love (self or for family), beauty
Lavender | calming, good for pleasant dreams
Black tea | protection, strength, cleansing
Green tea | healing, passion, strength
Matcha | cleansing, energy, clarity
Honey | sweetness, wealth
Sugar | sweetness, purity
Milk | nurturing, calming, motherly
Vanilla | Peace, relaxing
Cinnamon | Luck, wealth
🍵 To make it witchy: 🍵
Just like anything, teas are better to be charged. You don’t need anything elaborated for it, though-- and of course, even though you can, here are some simple ways for you to charge some energy into your teas:
Play music as you brew it related to your intention.
Draw a sigil of honey on the bottom of the tea.
Draw a sigil with sharpie on the cup (if paper) or on the little paper tag if your tea comes in a bag..
Whisper positive affirmations to it before you drink it.
Stir clockwise to bring positive energy and counter clockwise to banish negative one.
Blow on your cup to seal your intent, or knock on the cup.
Place crystals close or next to the ingredients/cup/tea to charge it (never put your crystal inside the tea without any previous, intense research)
