This will be my last post on Tumblr probably ever. Overall I really enjoyed this instructional technology class. It has made me think and do assignments in different ways than I have in the past!

This week we did our Guided reading 1.0. And I taught my group about Autism Spectrum disorder. I would prepare for this better next time by not doing it the night before lol. Also I would put some more information on my powerpoint to make it longer

This month of class has been pretty crazy. Its called maker march and we were put in groups and our objective is to make something and then present what we've come up with. It has been pretty difficult but my group decided to make an app thats kinda like blackboard but better.

Well this class is starting to get a bit crazy. We started a maker project and my group decided to make an app to help students look at every thing education wise in their school so essentially its a better version of canvas or blackboard.
If this was an individual project my idea would be to make some sort of pen and paper type thing as you write it turns whatever you're writing into a digital copy.
Week 9
Things are starting to kind sorta crazy in class this week. March seems to be the busiest month in my Teac 259 class, which isn’t bad because the assignments spread out in a way that we’re not all overwhelmed. What I’m sort of excited for is coming up with new ideas to use technology to help teach students within our subject area. My group is currently trying to make an app that lets the user play as one of the presidents! I’m really excited to start working on this idea!
For my Tech of the Week assignment, we got to play around with Kahoot, a website where you can create and take quizzes. You can create a student or teacher account, which I don’t see why there’s a need to have. The short quiz I made was over some of the major battles in World War II. If you want to try out my quiz, then just go to kahoot.it and type in the code (728659)!

This weeks TOW was Evernote. I never used evernote before this past week. I didn't really like it I’d rather just take notes on my notepad with pen and paper or just on my laptop.

I used Evernote for the first time and it was decent. I found that I am more of a fan of taking notes in a notebook than on my laptop but this was still great to organize and had a really easy layout. I think I am more of a fan of taking notes in my notebook than on my laptop simply because I can write them and there is some cool connection between writing and memory. In addition, I can scribble things out easily and draw diagrams easier. I could see Evernote being super useful for something like an English class or a non science class where there are not many equations or diagrams, but as my classes are mostly science I would not benefit as much. So I think I’ll stick with good ole pen and paper, but I’m happy I now know about Evernote and have it as an option.
Never thought Pinterest would be so useful. Took me awhile to kind of get the hang of it, but once I did it was easy to use. For my subject content (History), I wish there were less infographic pictures and more actual historical photos. Also, the thing I really dislike about Pinterest is getting constant emails. Half of the time I don’t really care what they send me. I guess I could unsubscribe from the emails, but I kind of feel like I’m too lazy to do that... If I had to rate interest, I’d give it a 9/10.
