I am looking for way too make a change and difference with or students this year. The author didn't pull any punches when calling out schools for ineffective methods of teaching and learning. I definitely think some will have their toes stepped on and may not finish the book. However those that can absorb the suggests and research can make a possible difference in the culture of the school and the learning of all out students. I was reaffirmed the difficulty of changing a culture and know what my rule needs to be in my plc and building. The statistics in education were eye opening but not altogether shocking. I wish and encourage our teachers to read this book this year and I am planning an in-depth study on this book too.
