Student: Oh! Teacher! Babby wears shoes!
Me: Nope, Babby's wearing socks.
Student: Why?
Me: Because he can't wear shoes in the building.
Student: *looks to see if I'm wearing shoes*
Context: Where I am, students don't wear shoes in the building. It's not required for teachers to remove theirs, but I hate wearing shoes and tend to do so. The buildings are safe, since, well, none of the kids wear shoes. It just amuses me that I've had almost this exact interaction more than once 🤪
