thanks seerara!  it seems that what must've happened is before the update it was displaying images for a basic display and now it's showing them for a retina display.  at least now i know so i can work with it.

this is what I expect of myself

there are always those moments when i sit down and think 'greatness is attainable if i just put in an hour of work' then i remember i live in reality where an hour does not last a year and i don't have the ability to knock out brilliant things before lunch

My parents:

Opposite politically (and hilariously, since one is a politician)

They both work full time without paid benefits, and love their jobs

They knew each other since they were children, but didn’t go out until their late twenties

Their first date was full of flowers, a nice dinner, and a trip to the ER. Dad had an allergy and was almost asphyxiated, and all he worried about is that he “blew it.” c:

Facts about my favorite things:

If you told me my job was going to be a paraprofessional about two years ago, I wouldn’t have believed you. I love love LOVE my student, even though her playing my draw blood. She’s absolutely wonderful on her awesome days.

If I had an indoor pool, I would be in it EVERY DAY. I love swimming, and I would probably be a mermaid in my next life.

One is going to law school, yey

Another is the coolest artist EVER and she makes emails look classy.

A third just got a cat, and he makes damn good brownies.

Number four just graduated, and her deliciousness will not be contained by a cardboard box.

And lastly, I’ve been friends with this girl since kindergarten (18 years!!!!!), and although our paths in life are superdedooper different, we still act like no time has passed every time we see each other.
