my least favorite twilight movie
my least favorite twilight is breaking dawn for so many reasons. (just talking about the movie rn)
1. the potential names of a boy and a girl. renessme and ej (edward jacob) why would you name your child after the two men that you have been "in love" with for the past two years. why is everyone okay with it. Edward has no fucking problem knowing that his son would be names after the guy he's been fighting with over the well being of bella with.
2. the baby plot: i just hate that she had the kid. i loved it for rose because she finally got to take care of a baby and was living her best life and got what she deserved, but having it be a weird half human half vampire and giving bella the life she wanted with a kid is dumb
3. bella had no consequences for her actions. she got to keep both edward and jacob because jacob imprinted of remesse. she should have lost one and had to deal with the consequences of losing one of the people she loves the most. she also got to keep charlie. While charlie does deserve the world and so much better throughout the series, bella being turned into a vampire and keeping charlie. not a single bad thing happens to her. she gets to live as comfortably as she wants to.
4. when bella became a vampire she barely struggled with being a vampire. she was able to control her blood lust and was praised for being able to control herself. she should've struggled more, i wish that she would've killed or almost killed someone and had to deal with feeling like a monster
5. the fight scene at the end, alice shouldn't be able to project that vision because the wolves are there and they would block her ability to see the fight and the outcome
6. jacob imprinting and it being the reason for his love for bella and why he doesn't care about her anymore. that completely negates everything that happened in the saga all the love plot development for jacob to just imprint on a baby that wasn't even alive yet. and while he didn't have a choice it was still super weird. having a father imprint on their child is one thing and can make sense but having jacob imprint on a newborn baby that isn't his is kinda weird. it also stopped the wolves and the vampires from having conflict
what i think would've been a better ending
if bella had to choose and make a sacrifice losing one of her loves (probably choosing edward because thats what sm*yers wanted it to be anyway) discussing becoming a vampire and what it would mean for their future, if she became a vampire struggling, the wolves coming after the cullens for breaking the treaty and turning a person in the land and having a fight between the wolves and vampires. bella losing charlie (even though he deserves better) and seeing bella be sad about losing her human life as many of the rest of the cullens are. Having bella lose many of the people in her life as a vampire and then moving away with the cullens would make the story much more of a tragety and seeing her deal with balancing what she lost and what she gained would be so interesting than her making no sacrifices becoming a vampire
anyway thats just my opinion :)
jacob, seth, rosalie and charlie deserved better
